| Strange KNOT! Help! Winston has a knot between his shoulders. It is under the skin, not on top of. He got a rabies shot about a week ago-could this be it? Im pretty concerned and wondered if any of you have experienced this? |

| Yep I bet it is from the rabies shot. Jewels had one of those too and it took a couple of weeks for it to go away.

| is it kinda round and somehow moves a bit? If so, yes that is from the shot. I had asked my vet about it when Tiger got one of those when he went for his first shots after I got it. It appeared about a week after his visit to the vet. I was concerned but decided to wait until his next visit . . .lo and behold, by that time, it was long gone but still mentioned it to my vet. He said it is a common reaction when they get a shot and not to be alarmed . . . it will go away after a way. Well, true enough, he had it again when he had his next set of shots and now they are gone . . . |

| I am Sooo glad this thread got started. I found a lump in the same place on Dori just yesterday and I was crazy worried. I made a vet appointment. But now that you guys are discussing it I feel much better. She just had her Rabies shot last week. I think I will give it another week before I take her in. Thanks! |

| Its the rabies shot. Desi had the same thing and I ran to the vet thinking it was cancer. It turned out to be a pretty common reaction to the rabies shots. The Vet said it would go away in about a week or so..sure enough, it did.

| It is almost gone I believe. He is acting fine and the bump is wobbly, so I too agree with all your advice...its the rabies shot. |
