| Yoda Goes Splat onto Bathroom Floor! (He's OK though!) Crazy kid, he was being brushed in the bathroom counter, but lo and behold, the UPS man rings the doorbell. Yoda gets soooo excited that he does the high dive from the counter! This counter is about 3 and a 1/2 feet high! Needless to say, he bellyflopped (the Russian judge gave him a 9.0) right onto the tile floor! He was momentarily dazed, but after a few minutes, he shook it off, thankfully. Gave us quite a scare! We definitely need to train him when the doorbell rings not to be so darn anxious to see who it is!!! |

| And Yoda th' Yorkie gets the GOLD!!! Do you think Yoda is secretly training for "Doggie Olympics"?? That headline gave me quite a start too! I don't have any advice for keeping them from jumping other than just "hang on"!!

| He'll outlick ANY Yorkie alive, so I'm sure he'll get the Gold in that. Well, outlick them compared to other Yorkies licking their owners... I think his record is like 250 licks per minute... I must have really stinky breath, eh? But, yeah, the main thing we worry about is his poor joints when he jumps, so luckily he seems fine and that isn't a problem right now. I just hated to see him limping when he threw out his joints a year ago. |

And he's quite the "licker", is he? I'd like to see he and Toto in a licking contest!! She licks everything! When a stranger inquires "does she bite"? ... we always reply "no, but she will lick you to death!"

| Oh my gosh, I hope Yoda is going to be ok. Thats quite a leap ! Flip ! & Landing ! They are nosey little bodies ! My little Lindsey is the same way, she can be to that door in a FLASH ! I try to cut her nails with her laying in my lap quietly when I know and hope its going to be a quiet time. Otherwise she could be without nails by moving quick like that. Even when I'm triming the girls, I have to be sure its going to be really quiet without anybody around. Hate to have those scissors slip ! I guess you're going to have to brush him while sitting on the bed with a towel under him from now on, thats where I do it. At least theres a softer landing on the carpet there. Did you have to get him checked over? Give Yoda some extra hugs tonight from Lacey & Lindsey and Me. |

| I just remembered! When my son was in the 8th grade, I made him sit down in the bathroom while I cut his hair. This was back in the 70s and long hair was in and he did NOT want me to cut his hair. SO HE JUMPED OUT THE WINDOW!!! And we were UPSTAIRS!!! He didn't get hurt, thank God, but he sure did give me a scare! The Family Curse* WORKS! He is now 44 and has two darling little girls, 6 and 3, and they sometimes give him a good scare and a lot of groans......Like the time he went in to wake his daughter up from her nap and found her on her changing table COMPLETELY COVERED in Balmex! It took them two weeks to get all that grease out of her hair...and off the walls....Now we call her the Balmex Queen. *The Family Curse: I hope when you grow up you have a kid that gives you as much trouble as you give me! |

| Wow, jumping out the window to avoid a haircut, that's a new one! I do have a scar on the back of my head from when I moved when my Mom was cutting my hair when I was like 8. I think she stopped cutting my hair shortly after that. :P |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Yoda Jumping someone jsut said they are NOSY LITTLE BODIES !! Perfect description of a Yorkie - I must say that to mine a few times a day but they really MUST be involved in everything !!! I'm so glad your Yoda is OK !!! That is a far jump - My Chanel did that as a baby - flew off the couch - limped for a few minutes - I was in the car to the vet in a heartbeat ! I must have rushed to the vet 10 times her first year - What a worrier I am ! They knew my voice - didn't even have to ask who it was after a while ! After all was done - I had a few $80.00 asprin and she was fine later that day ! It is scary though !!! So I am very glad he landed OK !! |
