| Hey Mike, I love Animal Fair and NewYorkDog. I think they both have really good articles in them.

| There are 2 newsletters that I subscribe to that I highly recommend for good information regarding your pets. They are the only 2 newsletters that I keep every issue and put them in a binder. The 1st one is Your Dog and is from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine http://www.tufts.edu/vet/publications/yourdog/ and the 2nd is The Whole Dog Journal http://www.whole-dog-journal.com/ You can go to both websites to give you an idea of some of their topics. I have not had a lot of luck with dog magazines for the most part because they are to full of advertising for me.

I'm actually thinking about writing an article on winterizing small dogs. I figure I've got so many pictures to illustrate it, I ought to be able to sell it to someone. Anyone heard of Dog Fancy magazine?

They actually also have breed specific magazines and I think Yorkies are one of them now. I haven't looked for them lately. Hold on, I'm gonna check............................................. . Yup! They have "Yorkshire Terriers" in their "Popular Dog" series! I will be more than happy to be your EDITOR for your article! Hee, Hee, Hee!

| I used to subscribe to Dog Fancy, yrs ago when I was breeding Bichons. Beautiful magazine, but of course they have ads. Seems like any mag you pick up is loaded. I write for a newspaper, and I know those of us in the traditional print-media are hurting these days. Between the cost of paper and with everyone turning to the internet - I think these things lead to more advertising, incomparison to how many stories and photos there are. I would love to see your article about winterizing small dogs. I love your avaitor. (Maybe someday, I'll figure out how to do that!) I live in Iowa, and actually we've had very little snow this winter, but it doesn't matter how cold it is Roxy wants to be out. Bubba on the other hand perfers sleeping on the couch - under a blanket! |
