| Question I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this: My cousin has a Yorkie (Baby). I of course love the dog. Whenever I pick up Baby, she flails her arms and legs and goes crazy and will do anything to get out of my arms. I have no idea why this is. My cousin picks her up and she rests comfortably in her arms. Is this just because Baby knows that I am not her owner? Or does she just not like me? It bothers me because I love the dog and want to play with her, but she rarely lets me hold her. Also whenever my cousin is around, Baby stays like her shadow. She spends ever minute by her side. It's like she doesnt know I'm alive. Does this make sense? Do I sound crazy? Anyone have any thoughts?

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Well, it could be that the pup doesn't know you, the pup smells other dogs on you or it's just that personality. Some dogs will love and kiss on anyone. Others will do it only to their owners. A lot of different things come to mind but your best bet is to wait till the pup gets to know you or until the pup is older. You should be able to tell which it is.

| If the behavior progresses to aggression, you will need to deal with the behavior...I try to keep mine equally accepting of all members of the family but, sometimes, they just do not like somebody!!! So, the dog is free to leave them alone.. |
