| Is A Casita Anything Like A Mt'home? I've read that some of you go away in a casita, not that I had ever heard of it - to me it would be a small house in Spain lol (where we have a property!!). Seen the American trailers, is it one of these? Don't forget that I'm from Wales!! Really interested as we have a motorhome - think you call it a CRV or RV? Not a big one but what great times we have when we go away with Gypsy Rose! Not long ago we stayed practically right on the beach in a little bay - renamed her SANDY Rose for the w/e!! All she wanted to do was go back to the beach all the time! Where do you go and does your yorkie/s enjoy etc? Do you go on short trips or long ones etc?! Ana xx |

| That was really fascinating!! Our Hymer motorhome is not much bigger - about 19ft plus and no there isn't a lot of room and we used to have 4 dogs!! We don't "rough" it either - we have toilet, shower, oven, fridge, hob etc , microwave, outside shower (handy for dogs I can tell you), pull out blind, and oh yes - satellite tv, very similar to your casita I imagine? Gypsy Rose also loves to go away and like Toto loves to come home! How lovely to meet up with others from YT like that! Wish we could come! Ana xx |

| We have so much fun in our Casita. Both dogs just LOVE traveling and seeing new places and smelling new smells and making new friends of both 4-footed and 2-footed varieties. When Don comes in from puttering in the garage, I'll see if I can get him to post a picture of a Casita here. It sure would be fun to all get together someday! And oh would I ever love to travel around Wales! One of my favorite things in all the world is listening to a wonderf Welsh choir! What BEAUTIFUL voices you have! But I don't think I could ever sing anything in your language! Oh my! Big hugs to you! |

| Would LOVE a pic of a casita PLEASE!! If you ever come to Wales do let us know!! Yes the Welsh choirs are fantastic but it doesn't mean you'd like my voice!! I do sing to Gypsy Rose though - poor girl , no wonder she's like she is LOL. Great life for a dog away like we go isn't it? She never knows where she is off to next and neither do we at times as we are not big on planning!! Luv, Ana xxx |

| Ana.....try this link to see a Casita. Don and I have the 17' Liberty Deluxe layout and Bettye and Patrick have the 17' Spirit Deluxe. Both of us have made all kinds of modifications ("mods") to make them even more comfy. I looked in Google and found the Hymer website. They look like really nice caravans! Certainly more room than we have! Last edited by Higgin's Mom; 08-06-2004 at 02:40 PM. |

| So Bettye and Mary Ellen both have a Casita? That's how you met? Cool! Well, I went to the website and now the "Egg Bug" has bitten me. I want an Egg! Now I'm completely intrigued. The website say's they are lightweight and fairly easy to pull...I wonder if an Xterra will pull one. So what makes them better than the other brands of travel trailers...in other words why did you choose this brand? Did you have to come to Texas to buy it? Lucky for me I live in the dallas area. I looked in the Dallas paper to see if I could find any used models and as big as that paper is I din't find one single add. Makes me think people must not sell them off like some of the other brands. I even went to the Casita forum...I want one...gee thanks girls ...you have converted me.

| YAAAAAY!!! You'll love your Casita! They are made in Rice, which isn't far from Dallas, so shoot on down to the factory showroom and see them! They are unique! Strong, light, made with quality all the way. Even better than an Airstream! What is the towing capacity of your X-Terra? In addition to the Casita Forum, be sure to check out www.casitaclub.com and also www.fiberglassrv.com The forums all have sections for used Casitas and other eggs. But let me tell ya, they hold their value well and they resell often in less than a day! Casita has NO DEALERS. WE are the dealers! It's all word of mouth. And if you order a 17' Casita today, it won't be ready for you to pick it up until the end of January! They are that popular! We picked ours up in Rice last November (ordered it in August), and lived in it for the next 164 days! With Pogo. And then little Higgins! If I could convince Don to sell the house, I would live in it full-time. Just LOVE my Casita. My salesman at Casita was Harald, and I think Bettyanne's was Jeanne Ivie, so if you go in, be sure and say HI from both of us! OOOOoooooh we could have a Casita/Yorkie Rally! |

| Ok you Eggster's ...now I visited the fiberglass RV site... Tell me the reason you chose the Egg. I didn't realize that there were several makers of fiberglass RV. So do your sales pitch and tell me what makes these superior or at least what made you an eggomaniac. Also is Rice the only place you can purchase these Eggwonder's? Do they hold up well should I decide to buy a used model? I remember seeing a few on the road on various road trips but they are few and far between. Was the egg your first RV? Does anyone pull with an Xterra, I think my xterra would pull it...we pull a fishing boat with it. I think I want to got to the RV show at Dallas Market Hall at the end of Sept to check them out. Hope they have a display and information on them there. I think I may join the eggforum and ask the same questions...

| Luvmypupster ... the little "Eggs" are just so "Eggsiting" ... everyone loves them! Hope you get to look at all the different models in person! The forum is very informative and lots of fun! Lots of pics and "tall tales"!! Let us know what you think!!? P.S. Patrick says, "Yes ... your Xterra will definitely pull the Casita ... that it was designed to be towed by a vehicle such as yours!
