| Oliver Update- ((bump on head and bleeding)) Just got back from the vet! My poor baby! The vet thinks he must be allergic to fleas so she thinks a flea bit him and caused his whole body to itch. He ended up having a pretty bad infection underneath the scabs on the two bumps on his head. She shaved the area and removed the scabs and applied ointment. She also gave him flea meds and updated his shots. I'll start the antibiotics for the secondary infection tonight- I'm so glad I got him in and I'm so glad we are on the way to recovery---but soooo expensive!! Geez! Thanks, everyone, for your concern in my earlier thread.-- just wanted to let everyone know the outcome!

| SO glad to hear I'm so glad you got peace of mind and where able to find out what the bump was. Thank God it was nothing that serious and he is on the road to recovery. I hope everything goes well and he gets well soon.

| I feel so bad! I guess he was bit by one flea and his whole body became a little swollen and ichy. He's veggin in his bed but every so often tries to scratch the raw skin behind his ear!! Poor baby! Just like human chicken pox--not easy to not itch... But, first dose of antibiotics and i gave him a soft rub down to quench some of his itching impulses! Everyone, thanks for your concern! I can't wait till he's fully recovered and back to his crazy yorkie self!

| Thanks For The Update Poor Baby. I hate fleas I also have an allergic reaction to their bites. I am so glad where I live now fleas don't do well. The elevation is too high and too dry. Here's a Kiss and Hug for your Poor Baby!
