| Acid reflex My Yorky seems to have acid reflex, every once in a while he will make this gurggling sound and look like he's going to spit something up but nothing comes out. Does anyone have this problem? is this something I should be worried about? |

| I don't know if it is the same thing or not, but sometimes my little guy will do a weird burp and then smack and lick his lips like something came up or something, but he doesn't throw up........is this what you are talking about? I don't know what it is though and he doesn't do it very often. Maybe someone else will know.

| When do you notice it happening? Maybe after eating or something OR just at different times? Mojo doesn't do it much, so I never think about it at the time. I have never asked the vet, because when I go in, I always have a list a mile long....but I have added it to my list for this next visit. hee,hee

| It seems like mostly after he is eating, but sometimes he will just do it anyway. |

| Gracie does the same thing. My vet gave me Pepcid AC for her, but check with your vet before giving it to your furbaby! Gracie takes 1/4 a pill. The vet said that she could actually have 1/4 a pill almost daily if needed, but I only give her one when she has more then 1 episode in a day.

| I wouldn't mind it too much, especially if it happens within and hour after eating. Dogs some times get over excited about eating and eat too much, which can cause them to spit up a little when the food expands. My beagle also tends to do this when she eats grass. It's not really a problem, if he were actually throwing up, it would be a problem.
