| Returning a Yorkie I work with the breeder that I got Jasmine from. We both work for the school system. I've known her for years so I didn't really ask many questions before getting Jasmine. I know she runs a good operation and I know she is honest and takes good care of her animals. The USDA comes and checks her kennels and certifies her, etc. She has to meet certain standards. She takes her puppies to be vet certified before selling them. I just found out last night she gives everyone a one year guarantee. You can return the puppy anytime within one year for any reason. She was telling me about a woman who lives in a nearby town who returned a yorkie she had for almost the full year because she just didn't like her personality. She was too shy and quiet. Carla thought she just wanted the money. Can you imagine having your furbaby for almost a year and giving her back. There wasn't anything wrong with her. Carla (the breeder) said she was a beautiful little girl with a beautiful personality so she kept her and let her get a little older and bred her and she just had 3 puppies and they sold for really good money. We have only had Jasmine since October, but I can't imagine life without her. |

| That is just awful! There is no way in this world that I would be able to give back either one of my girls for any amount of money. They are just to precious! I cant believe that the breeder has a garuntee like that, it makes it so hard on the animals to be changing homes like that!

| Takes all kinds to make a world... Either that person was really desperate and had no other choice or they have a small cold stone where their heart should be...

| I don't think I can give up a dog after owning it for a year. Of course that's me! Anyway, her loss your gain. |

| I know the lady that returned the Yorkie. She used to be married to my daughter-in-law's brother. Believe me, she did not return her because she was desperate, she does has a cold heart. The breeder is trying to be a good person. If anything is wrong with the dog, you can return it, but it also protects the dog from being given away to just anyone or mistreated, etc. |

| I am glad the breeder took the dog back!! In my contract I have in there that if for ANY reason in the entire life of the dog they cannot keep or don't want to keep the dog I will take them back!! I don't want any of my puppies ending up in a shelter or just randomly given away because of any reason - I want to be the one who approves all homes whether it is the first or second!! For this breeder - and actually for the lady - cold heart or not if she recognized she didn't love this dog the dog is much better off finding a loving home than staying with her and being ignored!! |

I Love Thor Donating Member | Well at least that lady gave the dog back to someone that cares. A much better situation for the dog since the owner didn't give a darn about the dog after a year, it seems as though the the dog is in a much better home...with love! |

| That is so sad. I can't believe someone can be so cold and detached. I fell in love with Nikko at first sight and after almost 7 months I cannot imagine my life without him. A real pet lover sees their pet as a true member of the family. If you wouldn't give away one of your children, why would you give away your doggy? Truly heartless!!

| It's amazing how people can do that. I had a friend who thought she would be brilliant and get a puppy from the pound. Personally, I have a feeling she was a little jealous and all my dogs I have and how great and well trained they are and that I have a good time with them. Well.....she had that poor puppy for barely a week before taking it back b/c she "didn't know how much trouble a puppy was." I can't imagine the look on that poor baby's face thinking it had a loving momma only to be pushed aside like t-shirt she bought at the mall. But to have a dog for a whole yearand give it back! That's just cruel.

YT Addict | Yep, thats one pretty pathetic person, but just wish she had returned her before one year,I myself bonded with our little Tiffany in less than 3 days. Had actually decided to return her because she had double herinas and a vet had really scared us by telling of possible future problems, had actually returned her to the breeder and picked out another pup that wouldn't be ready to come home for several weeks. On the way home suddenly slammed on the brake, made a U turn and headed back....Wife asked Whadda doing?....said....going back to get my dog!! Should have seen the suprised look on the breededs face when i knocked on her door lol. She asked was there something else she could help us with and i said,YEP! GIMME MY DOG BACK!! Her husband said she had been crying ever since we left her there....for us it was the right and only decision,And we never regreted a day of it in the 10 wonderful years we had her.
