| Vet visit today Cash went to the vets today, he got his 4 month shots. He also got his anal glands expressed and his nails trimmed, which by the way costed 10.80 ridiculous... He is going to give him his Rabies shot in 2 weeks. Cash also had a ear infection, which I'm guessing was from when he went to the groomers, because last month when we were at the vets they said it was irritated and was hoping it was just because the groomer maybe pulled hairs. So now he's on drops for the next 2 weeks. well when they gave him the shot he yelped really loud, last time he didn't do that. Well when they trimmed his nails he was yelping a lot, guessing cuz of the shot. Well it's almost 5 hours later and Cash hasn't drank or ate anything. When I came home from the store, he didn't greet me like usual, and I picked him up and he yelped really loud. So I rubbed him gently and put him down, I went to his food and tried to give him some food and he just shoved his nose on it and let it drop. I'm not sure what to do??? IF anyone may know what's going on, or give me some suggestions I would appreciate it. And he also weighed 4# 6oz. THey also said his right testicle is in the canal, the other has dropped, and that he sounded good and his trachea sounded good. Not sure if I'm forgetting anything..

Donating YT 30K Club Member | When I took Cali for her 1st set of shots since she was withme at 12 weeks she came home and slept. Whsn she woke up I went to pick her up and she screamed and was out of sorts all evening. She was fine the next day. I mentioned this to my vet the next set of shots and she gave her a new liquid pain medicine for small dogs with the shots and she was fine. So now i always make sure they give her that when she has shots. I hope fe feels better soon!!

| Not sure this helps but it might be sore where they put the shot.. try massaging that area(top of neck on the back right) in circular motions , sometimes the nerves tend to get in a ball so it helps them relax.. hope this helps ..... Maddy went on Monday and she weighed in at 5.8 OMG!! My little chunky... ! LOL Hope he feels better...... kisses from his sis ! |

| Poor baby. Puppy shots sometimes makes them act like your human babies after they get their shot. sometimes they get sick, fever and such. he probably is sore from the shot too. Did he move when they gave him the shot? so types of shots hurt more than others. give him some nutracal if you have it. When any of mine dont want to drink, I dip my finger in water and put it to their mouth. They usually will lick it off. If not open his mouth and make him take a drop or two. He should be feeling better tomorrow. I hope so. I will be watching for an update. Give him grandma kisses for me.

| Cash is probably just a little sore from the shots.Hope he gets to feeling better soon. Try to get his mind off his misery -- you know become that great Yorkie entertainer that lurks inside each one of us. From what you have said, other than being a little sore, it sounds like he is doing just great. |

| Sounds like you had a real day at the vet's. You can't compare shots. Everyone is different. I know - my husband was a physician and had to give me a penicillin shot every day for 26 days once. I can tell you that most of the shots didn't hurt at all - but a couple did - he simply hit a nerve those times. --- So - normally shots don't hurt, but occasionally the same type of shot can. Hopefully your little guy is getting back to normal now. And I hope his ears are fine real soon. Sometimes even getting water in the ears during bathing can cause a flare-up. Good luck! Carol Jean |
