| Ah poor Ruby. My female shaked and acted as if she were in pain the night I brought her home but was okay the next day. Did they give you pain meds for tomorrow?

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Oh poor baby! My pom cried for 2 days after I had her spayed I took 2 days off from work to stay with her. The vet said she was very sensitive to pain and gave me a pain pill for her. For some reason I don't think they routinely gave pain meds to them after spaying them 9 years ago?

| A cool cloth on her incision might give some relief. BUT, DO NOT SPARE THE PAIN MEDS!!!!! For a hundred years we in the medical field waited til a patient was in severe pain to give meds. Now we know that pain slows down the healing process as it effects the immune response. So, hydrate her, give her NutriStat and do not keep her too warm with lots of covers. She will do better tonight than her daddy will. |
