| The reason food should be changed gradually is so the stomach can adapt to the new bacteria in the new food. If she is only eating the new food what can you do. One of the most common side effects of changing food quickly is loose stools. So maybe you"ll have to wait it out. Maybe the other members have suggestions!

| Mojo did the same thing when we switched his foods....he picked out the new kind and gobbled it up.....I think it was just better food and he was bored with his Royal Canin. He never showed any symptoms of upset stomache, etc. But every baby is different....and I still mix the foods though because Mojo is a picky and finicky eater and gets bored with his food easily.

| OMG!!! I went to Petsmart today & bought the Nutro Max mini & when I mixed it with their other food, all 3 of them ate the Nutro & left the others on the floor & on the carpet. I can't believe your baby did it also. I was feeding them the Life's Abundance but Romeo starting itching & breaking out on his chest, so I figured I better switch food. They seem to totally Love the Nutro Max.

| Gracie eats Eukanuba but I WISH that she would eat Nutro. (my uncle is a Nutro rep) I have tried a million times for her to eat it and she refuses, she would rather starve. I have to watch and see if she scratches more after eating... maybe the Eukanuba is what is causing her skin problems I may have to force her to switch foods

| Ideally you want to mix the food and gradually change it but if she is only eating the Nutro then I would just feed her the Nutro.

| I just switched Drake & Harley to the Nutro Lamb & Rice, as well! Drake has the WORST breath I have ever smelled....it's HORRIBLE!!!! Did I mention that it stinks?? lol Anyway, I can tell a HUGE difference since starting the Nutro! I can actually let him lick my face and give me kisses without wanting to throw up! lol I overheard the Nutro rep. in PetsMart the day I got it telling another customer that it has ingredients in it to combat the bad breath, which sold me on it! Actually, I was going to get either that or the Royal Canin Yorkshire Terrier kind but when she mentioned the "bad breath", that was enough for me! Like few others, I have always just switched completely when changing foods! |

| Thanks everyone I was still trying to mix it up until this morning...she just wont eat the eurkanba and the nutro is supposed to be better for her anyway (she was itching all the time) so i gave up and just replaced her food w/the nutro and will wait it out hoping it doesnt bother her tummy. In all honestly she wasnt eating the eurkanuba all that well anyway and i was constantly concerned about her eating... now every drop of the nutro i put in there is gone everytime i turn around! what a difference! |
