| Thinning Coat? I gave snickers a bath this morning and noticed behind her ears and aound the edges of her coat seem thin... not sure if those are the normal places to have thinning... but thought it was best to ask. Around the base of the ear when wet almost looked there there was little to no hair there?? |

| Well yorkies arent really supposed to lose hair so I dont know what it could be. If there is scratching it could be allergies. When Jewels was little she lost alot of hair on her back.. They did a skin scrape and checked her for mites and other things but could never find a reason why she lost it and it all grew back and we havent had any more problems.

| What food does she eat and you might want to use an oatmeal shampoo to start.

| Eukanuba isnt one of the best foods. Corn is one of the main ingredients and it is corn that cause itching. Some better foods are Innova, Chicken Soup, Nutro, Natural Balance, California Natural, Newmans, and Canidae. You might one to try a better food. The oatmeal shampo you can get at petsmart. Someone on here found one with oatmeal and honey that really made the coat shine at Target.

| Another thing you can try is adding some Omega fatty acids to her diet. You can get Missing Link at Petsmart. It is good for the coat and skin. You sprinkle a teaspoon on her food a day.

| I think chachi is right . I would change her food, and use an oatmeal shampoo. I haven't heard of Yorkies hair thinning. Maybe someone else has some different advice for you. But I would say chachi is right on the food & shampoo. I'd give her advice a try. Good luck to you, and please keep us posted.
