| you may want to mix the wet food with dry food. canned food is a luxury. romeo only gets it at his grandmom's house. i feed him dry royal canin yorkie formula and its good with his system. if he only eats canned food he pukes. ** you should consult you vet about the coughing. romeo coughs like a duck when he gets too excited. he was diagnosed with collapsed trachea. which seems to be common w/the breed. his case is not very serious. although, my mothers 7 yr old yorkie needs to have cough syrup when he has a bad attack or he stops breathing. there is a new surgery @ the university of pennslyvania animal hospital, but we are scared to put him under. |

| I can't help with the food problem but the coughing sounds like Kennel Cough. Both my yorkies had it when they were puppies. First one didn't even require any medication and the second one I think they gave it to make me feel better. It is the dog version of a cold but it can develop into something more serious. You should have your vet look at him.
