| At What Age do Yorkies Stop Growing? Baby is 5 months and 6.5lbs. I LOVE her current size. I wanted to know if anyone knew if or how much more she will grow? And what age do they stop growing and/or gaining weight (if you don't overfeed)? Thanks!!

| My pup also weighs about 6 1/2 pounds at a little over 5 months. I can tell that he has certainly slowed down as far as his growing goes - but I'll bet he gains another pound or two before he's done. But then - who knows. I agree 6 1/2 pounds is a wonderful weight. He can get around well, up and off the furniture, and I don't have to worry about him like I did when he weighed a couple pounds less. Also, when I pick him up - it still seems like nothing is there. And man can he hold his own with my 21 pound dog - no problem there! Carol Jean |

| I think most stop growing about 7 months. Chachi however grew a lb at 11 months old.

| Princess was a year old when she stopped growing. She's almost three, and still has her puppy play in her.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Cali is 8 months old and is putting on an ounce a week right now. She finally looks a little bigger not so thin. I think she will reach close to 5 lbs full grown, I hope.

| My breeder told me that toy breeds usually stop growing at 6-8months. But that also depends because there are many exceptions to the rule. Some of my friends' yorkies stopped going around that time as well. Twinkie gained most of her weight around 4-6months and is now 6months old and is gaining steadly about an ounce a week.

| Hello! It's my first post on this board I have 5.5 months old baby girl. Just yesterday I took her to the vet for her check up. The doctor weighed her and she was a little less than 3 pounds. I asked the doctor if she'll get any bigger, and the doctor replied "just a bit". I guess she'll gain another pound ? |

Here's an update for you all! Baby is now 2 years and 3 months old and she is about 12 or 13lbs!!!!! She's long, and not fat, as she still has a slight curve on her torso, but she's probably a little overweight. And even though I asked the question about when she will stop growing, I don't remember when she did!
