| Yorkies and clothes??? My 6 month old pup likes wearing clothes and wears them a lot. I have kept him in a short puppy cut so far - but he appears to have beautiful silky hair, and I'm considering letting him grow out - My question is -- isn't it more difficult for a long-haired dog to wear clothes? Seems to me that there would be a lot of hair tucked up underneath whatever they wear.....and a lot of long hair sticking out all over. Maybe I just need some pictures of some long-haired Yorkies wearing their favorite outfits.... Thanks - Carol Jean |

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | We are letting our girls coat grow out and they wear clothes all the time!! We just make sure that we put their clothes on them, we tuck it up so it doesn't get stuck in the velcro or anything and then make sure and brush the hair around the clothes!! At the end of the night we brush them out throughly making sure to get out all of the tangles so they don't get worse over night....we go through this process everytime they wear clothes!!!

| Thanks for starting this thread. I was wondering the same thing, as just last night I bought the first items for my little girl. She's 3, I've had her for nearly 2 yrs, so she's been a nudie until now. But I have her hair long and as soon as I put her sweater on, it all seemed to crunch her hair in. Also, bought her a coat because she loves to be outside in the fridgid temps. But she seemed to freak about the coat - she acts like she can't move her front legs. I thought this was werid since it velcros' around her, but the sweater had to go over her head! Yorkiesmiles |
