| Recommendations for doggie booties? I posted up last night that poor Turbies paws are swollen and cracked from taking LOOOONG walks. So, Im on a quest to find a good pair of booties for her to wear on our walks once she is healed. They need to be waterproof and hopefully cute BTW, Shes 10lbs if it makes any difference. Soo, what do you guys recommend?

| I've seen them at PetSmart and Petco. We usually play in the backyard and it isn't cold very often so I haven't tried them, but they do look cute! Maybe even little newborn baby socks would help, they would be cheap, too.

| In my past experience, dogs don't really like the rubber boots and they can't walk properly in them. Some, refuse to walk.....I've tried on several different breeds and get the same reaction. I've tried bribing and coaxing, still didn't work......

| Yeah, Ive heard of that also. But my baby loves her walks so much, it kills me to keep her home when I go. So its worth a shot! She would only need the front two booties! Thanx for the ideas. Im going to try out the baby sock idea! Ill letcha know how it works. But Im just worried about it being waterproof here in Oregon

| Just be sure to take them off as soon as you get home. You probably need a little pantyhose bag or something if you throw them into the wash, too! Good luck!

| I have heard the best product is some kind of really thick wax or lotion that coats the paws to prevent the cracks. Heres a link to a similar product I was trying to explain: http://handsnpaws.zoovy.com/c=RfwKSw.../GEHLTHMUSHERS |

| I have a friend with a cockapoo that wears his boots, all four, several times a day for his walks. I think it just takes practice and patience to get them to wear them. You might try Ebay. I have seen them there, different sizes and styles and manufacturers. |

| daisy has gooby boots which are pretty cute. she rarely wears them though, so she's not used to walking/running around in footwear yet. they were kinda expensive ($55/pair) so she had better get used to wearing them! http://www.goobydogfashions.com
