| I almost lost him!!!! Every time I think about this my heart beats a little faster...so much could have happened!!! Here is the story: We live in a two condo building (our condo is the upper one) at a very busy street. We are having out bathroom remodeled right now so the front door is constantly open which doesn't conern me since we have a gated main entrance. Well, about two weeks ago I decided to take my future-sister-in-law to get our nails done and told my fiance to watch the dogs so they wouldn't follow us. We get in the car and start driving when she out of sudden looks at me and says "Simba!" I am like "what?" (she only speaks a little English and I don't speak Spanish) but by then she had already jumped out of the car. Appaerantly my fiance didn't see Simba following us and she just happened to look out the mirror to see Simba walk dangerously close to the street!!! Good thing that he isn't a runner so she called him and brought him upstairs. I just slammed the break and parked in front of somebodys garage (all crooked) before I ran upstairs and started screaming at my fiance. I almost had a heart attack! Imagine she hadn't seen him, I surely wouldn't have, and by the time my fiance would have realized he is gone... Just the thought of that...I could have gotten home and think "what that on the street?" My god... Simba had several guardian angels watching over him that night... |

| Oh you must have been so terrified! Don't be too rough on your fiance, these little ones can be so quick and sneaky! thank God he's ok. Now, deep breath...he's fine you are having palpitations! I'm just glad it had a good ending.

I think it was the scare that made me scream. Poor guy was all white in his face too =) I apologized soon after and he understood. Man, I wanted to take her and hug and smoosh her to death but I was worried she'd think I am strange so I kept on padding her leg and say "thank you thank you" a million times over while we were driving...of course the nail treatment was on me! Hey, I would have bought her a house if I had the money! | |
