| People at work think I am nuts!! I have been talking a lot about Yorkietalk at work lately and I am planning a Colorado playdate. Then with this Valentine exchange, buying gifts for a little girl and Starsky receiving gifts from a little girl..... They think I am nuts!!! One lady told me "Leigh, I need to remind you that Starsky is s dog!" Then another said you do act like he is a human baby. I was hurt! I love Starsky because he is my baby and my human babies are all grown up. Do all of you guys get grief like this? Do I need to cool it? They laugh that I have a car seat for him and I dress him up! argh!!

| I just keep it fairly low key and try not to make a big deal about my dogs although I am known as the "yorkie lady" so,,, what can I say. Luckily most of the people I am around love dogs. The problem is that the rest of my family...inlaws...all have "real" dogs according to my father-in-law....labs!!! He asks me if I have them because I need to nurture and my "babies" are all grown up? I suppose that is partly it. |

| oh forget them, we are your true friends haha! My co-workers have learned that Simon and Hallie are equivalent to their human children and they do not dare make fun of me. In fact at first I talked about Simon and Hallie without ever mentioning they were "dogs" at all. For about 3 months people assumed I had a little boy and a little girl! They didn't need to know they had 4 legs instead of 2 Keep bragging about your babies and be proud that you are such a good mama! |

| People at work think I'm nuts too, so welcome to the nut club. You know what? I don't care. Munchkin is my baby even if she does have fur! And it's not even fur, it's hair! I just grin and let them think what I think. And I play the game with them.

| I know.... I can relate. At my job, the other two Supervisors think I'm CRAZY with how I am about my babies. Thankfully, one of my coworkers has 2 miniature dachshunds and understands that dogs aren't just dogs ; they're my babies. So what I spend tons of money on them....

| I got that same reaction at work when I first mentioned the site, which is when I first got my girl. Well let me just say that the more people get bothered about me talking about or my girl in general, the more I do it. Now they all like my girl and even if they don't agree with my stories they have to listen. |

Yes, everyone thinks I am crazy regarding my little dog, but most people love her almost as much as I do. My family, who never had dogs, is just wild about her. Edie goes to work with me, and sometimes I will go into an engineer's office and will see her sitting on his lap while he taps away at his computer. She has become a part of the office landscape, and people miss her when she is not there. So I am not alone in my craziness. | |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | I work with all men and generally get the eye roll.....but it's a he-man act. They all cuddle Trace, sneak him food, and comment on his clothes...even if it's just to tell him...."hey, buddy, your shirt's on backwards" Hubby, however, just lumps all of us on YT into the "ya'll are nuts".....

| I'm a nut case too Yeah, everyone at work and at home (well, just everyone else but me) thinks I am completely crazy. Everyone does have dogs but they don't dress them or participate in gift exchanges. That is the part they don't understand. They are also confused about my YT addiction. I have been trying to tell them all along that I am crazy so now they just might believe me. But hey, it's ok. I like my world. I really think they are just jealous because there aren't people who devote themselves to their breed as intensely as us Yorkie owners.

| I can't believe she called your furbaby a ...*gulp* dog...j/k Yes, everyone thinks I am nuts. They totally don't get how much getting Eleanor means to me. She will be dressed up, baby-talked too, groomed constantly, and lavished with every kind of attention possible. lol I was actually considering looking into going to a spa for myself as kind of a dream vacation and began thinking that I needed a place that could pamper Eleanor too! My boyfriend just kinda humors me. He has learned to control the "you've really gone round the bend this time" look for the most part thankfully.
