| snow and housebreaking I was on a roll with Nina and housetraining until the snow came!! Shes only 4 months so i know shes not officially housetrained, its just im quick to take her out every 45. Now with the snow, she pees, comes inside and poops in the same spot now for 3 days. I know i have to keep her outside more but its so cold and wet. I think im just going to have to stay out a little longer with her. She gets blow dryed anyway when we come back in. I just dont want to form a habit with her at this age. Patty and Nina P.S. Today I say her actually going and i yelled outside, then she went under the table and hid. I feel bad when she hides from me like shes not going to trust me. I took her back out but she just looked at me like wat i did it in the house remember so the battle goes on... |

| Yeah, that snow and cold sure puts a damper on things. I take my 8 month old pups out, but my 6 month old never goes out in the cold because he is just too small. Sometimes I have to bring them back in and take them out a very short time later because I know it is time for them to go but don't want them catching a chill. Mavrick is so funny because he'll look up at me like "Hey Mom, if you don't hurry and get me back in the house I am actually going to have to POOP out HERE!" He much prefers the white carpet in the warm house for this duty! |

| I have the same problem with my Harley he is 6months now and just when I think he is really getting it. he suprises me with a poopie. I have been diliegent with the outside and peepads. It was so cold here in michigan he freaked out. we had some really bad winds with rain and sleet. well, he was doing good in oct and nov. but then it was a blizzard and had to pee pad him. he did good for a while then, he started to go everywhere. I have been crate training him now. It warmed up outside and he was good again. Then had another snow. Now we are having accidents again. I pray this isnt a life long problem. PLus he will not bark to go out. He runns to the door , and stands there. But if I dont see him he will go on the floor, I hung bells on the door he wont touch them, I even got on the floor and barked at the door, and ring the bells , well I just looked stupid, he still wouldnt touch them,. Pray he gets it. He is really a smart little fart. He punishes hiself and goes in the crate when he poops in the house. Now what about that.lol |

| I had the problem of Mattie pooping inside too for a while. So what I did was every time I took him outside to go pee/poo and he did it, WHILE he was going, I gave him a treat. I did that for the first four or five days. After that, I gave him the treat after he was done. After four days of that, I starting giving him his treat when we got to the back door. Now he asks to go out for both pee and poo and gets his treat when he comes back inside.
