| Yorkies and snow Today in NY we got dumped with over a foot of snow. I was just wondering is it OK to take my yorkie out in the snow? This is the first time he has been with me during snow and I was planning on taking him outside for a little bit. It's the first time he has seen snow too and he has been staring out the window all morning. |

| Sure it would be fine as long as your yorkie isn't sick or anything. Just don't stay out to long. I have one certain female that loves to play in the snow, she comes back inside with little snow balls haging on her fur.... |

| You should check out Alaska Yorkies little Eddie playing in the snow! He is a regular snow bunny. I don't know how to post a link, but if you go to the search thingy, you can look for it. Maybe someone who is smarter than me will post the link for you. |

| For us snow is FUN. Digging, rolling, eating and everything else that could be done with it is done. This is the best time to take your yorkie out. But do not keep her out too long. Also, if she starts coughing a bit afterwards do not get alarmed. It is just irritation, not a virus/bacteria. |

| Mojo LOVES the snow....course he likes to play in the rain too! We got several inches here the other day and he just loved it. We don't let him stay out long though and we don't use booties on him (just because he doesn't really like them on). You can get some cute video and pictures in the snow too!

| I take my little 14 week old male out in the snow all the time. He is going potty outside in the snow. He doesn't have much option as we get snow for several months here. He is doing really well considering it can be very cold at night time. After he goes potty he runs around in the snow. He is having a lot of fun with it. |

| Gracie loves the snow. She dives head first into the mounds of snow and comes out all white!! We just have to dry her real good when she comes in because the snow freezes on her fur.

| Just watch them and if they seem uncomfortable, take them back inside. My two love the snow! Bouncer would stay all day in it just about. Lotte likes it, then wants back in after a few minutes.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | My little guy loves snow. Just make sure they're not shivering. A coat helps. Booties and coat are better, but it takes a while to get them used to booties. Until they get used to it, use snowshoes or skis or a bunch of kids to stomp down the snow. Here's proof:

| I love looking at the cute pics! Princess has been surprisingly loving the snow here. We had around 9 inches and she manuevered it on her own. I have pics and I will download them here as soon as I get them on my computer! |

| Punkin loves the snow and it doesn't matter how deep it is. She loves to eat it too... When I throw her little snowballs she catches every single one in her mouth. I put a jacket on her...and when it's really cold she wears a t-shirt under her jacket. |
