| Dont know what to do!! Im gonna he going down to Virginia next weekend for my bfs ring dance and were trying to figure out what to do with Bentley. Putting him in a kennel is not an option becuase I dont think he would like it at all. So were debating on taking him or having someone come and and watch him. I think my parents would rather take him with us so they dont have to pay someone to watch him which can become expensive. He loves the car, but the only problem is they dont want to be stuck in the hotel room all weekend watching him. So I dont know what to do. Any suggestions or ideas what so ever would help. |

| Do you have any close friends that like Bentley that you can trust? Or ones perhaps with other dogs that Bentley can get along with? A brother or sister perhaps? I'd feel much more comfortable leaving my Yoda with someone I know, which we've done a few times (for vacations) |

| I used to feel the same way about kennels, but the one here is fantastic and I never have to worry about my dogs! They get individual time everyday and a report card that documents every meal and times they use the bathroom. "Miss Betty" is sooo sweet to them and will get them vet care if they need it. I would suggest visiting a couple of kennels and asking for recommendations. Betty's doesn't even smell like dogs! |

| i know how you feel... i'm so worried when i have to leave my dogs... it makes my heart break. we found a great kennel, though, which is more like a doggie hotel than a kennel. it is clean, big, and they get tons of attention! playtimes and walks twice a day, plus brushing and baths if they need it... if you don't want to burden someone, do some research and find a really good kennel. you should always visit the kennel first and make sure it is clean and that you can trust the staff. most dogs don't mind being in a kennel. if your dog has separation anxiety, it might be best to leave him with people he knows/you know. anyway, good luck! i hope it all works out.

| Yes, it is definitely a special place. It was still the hardest thing ever leaving him (I cried on my way home), but I did at least feel comfortable with the people and place I was leaving him with.

Do they have a website I could visit by any chance? Thank you guys so much for mentioning this place to me and if you could give me some more information that would be great! |

| It's called Pocket Pooch Hotel. www.pocketpoochhotel.com is their website. It really is a great place. I actually stopped by one day before I decided to kennel Hercules there, just to check it out and get a tour. They are very nice and friendly. I called a bunch of times and they always eased my tensions (well just a little bit, I was still so sad). But I'm sure you can tell, they made it easier, even though it is an extremely tough situation. Where's Bel Air? I live in Anne Arundel county, Crofton. I'd love to find some other yorkies for my babies to play with, especially with the weather getting nicer.

| ok great I'll check out the website!! Thanks again! Bel Air is in Harford County. Its about half and hour from Baltimore and I would say about an hour or alittle more from Anne Arundel. We actually got Bentley from Tiffanys Kennel in Pasadena. I dont know if your familar with them or not. But they show alot of their dogs. Thanks again for the website! |

| I'm going on a much needed vacation to key west for 5 days. I knew that one day I'd have to leave Archie at home, so I made a deal with neighbors---I'll watch your dog and you can watch mine. I had their dog for 7 days and they are going to watch mine for 5. It's important to try and build up a support group of dog owners in the neighborhood for reasons like this. One the one hand, it's great but on the other...well, lets just say that as soon as we come back, there will be a pomeranian staying with us for 2 weeks, and a shih-tzu for a week in May!! But Archie loves company so I don't really mind. |

| Well good luck with your final decision. Pocket Pooch Hotel really is a great place though. lickthestar - that's a good point, it's good to make good with the neighbors and friends. I live in an apartment right now, so it's kinda hard for me. But after I got back from my trip in January, I had at least 5 people at work saying they would have watched Hercules for me! I might take some of them up on it in the future!

| boarding Conni and Helen at Pocket Pooch are true Yorkie lovers. When I decided to downsize, they were two people I trusted to co-own with..she will post a photo of our Biewer, Isabella soon. ONLYAMBS...I know Bev and Angel quite well..they are super nice people. I used their stud Thunder to get my Shorty. |
