| Yorkie makes funny noises I wanted to ask everybody whether or not your babies make funny little noises sometime . How do I explain it??? You know when they snore at night it is that kind of noise only this is through the day. I can not figure out if it is from her nose or throat that they are coming from. Right now she is chewing on a bone and I am hearing some of these noises. Other times I hear nothing and she is breathing normal. She does not seem to be in any distress or anything. She can come in from a big run and I don't hear anything wrong. It almost seems that it could be just the way their little noses are so small. I am worried about her though. I keep telling myself that nothing is wrong but---would feel better if others have experience this also. |

My ralphie dog makes funny noises too. He gets the hiccups all teh time and when he sleeps he sometimes makes a noise that sounds like when someone sticks their finger in their mouth and pops their jaw. Very strange indeed. Did you ask your vet? | |

| Errol does that, too. He snores anytime he's asleep, and sometimes he'll make the same snoring and snorting sounds during the day, too. Sometimes we can't tell if he's sleeping with his eyes open or just breathing funny. He has a short snout, and our vet said he would always be prone to respiratory problems because of it. Most of the time it's not a problem for him, and it doesn't really bother us, either. I wouldn't worry about it unless it seems like it's bothering her.

| I also use to worry about a snort noise that Roxie makes-especially when she get too excited until I was at Pet Smart and another Yorkie made the same sound. Her dog made the sound first in its excitement at seeing Roxie and then Roxie 10 seconds later started making the same sound. We both looked at each other in astonishment because we both had wondered about the sound.
