| Today is the day!!!! Well guy's, after what feels like a waiting period of forever, today is the day I finally get to bring home my little snickers!!! I can hardly belive in only a matter of hours I will finally have him home and be able to cuddle and love him! I know I don't have to explain to you guys the feelings that I am having, but I can hardly contain myself right now. I am soooooo excited! So if anyone has any advice on my first night with my little baby please feel free to give me some suggestions, like are there things i should or shouldnt do? Is it okay to take him to Petsmart right after I get him, I need to get him a new collar, he has already had all 3 sets of shots plus he has been micro-chipped. Or would it be best to just bring him home right away? I plan on taking pics tonight so hopefully I will be able to post them soon. Did I mention how excited I am?????????

| You sound so excited. I remember how anxious I was to get Sophia! What a day that was. I'll never forget it. Today is a special day for you, enjoy!! Advice: I would have a low key day, no stores or visitors at first. Let him get used to you and start attaching to you before you add too many other things to his new life. I have a daughter that I adopted from Guatemala, so I learned a lot about attachment (she was 9 mos. old when she came home) and I basically applied the same principles to Sophia when she came home. Lots of holding and petting and cuddling. Carry him as much as he will allow you too. Lots of contact!! Have a great day. Let us know how it all goes!

| Congratulations! I can imagine how excited you are I agree, make the day as low key as you can, limit visitors and just take the time to bond with your new baby

| I wouldn't take a little one to PetSmart until it had all vaccinations. Read the Parvo horror story. Good luck with your new baby boy!! |
