| Greasy Hair We have had mickey for about two and 1/2 weeks now and I noticed that Mickeys hair gets really greasy. Everytime we give him a bath, two days later its back to being greasy again. We use shampoo and a little conditioner that we got from pet smart and it works good. Is there anything we can do to keep his hair shiney?

| My dogs hair gets like this too. I am gonna swich to vellus hair products. You can find them on the net at vellus.com. Its a concentrate formula on the shampoo/conditioner. Alot of people here use it. They have alot of good brushes too.

| Shampoo him twice, rinse very well and skip the conditioner for a while. See if that helps. You can also add a bit of white vinegar mixed with water for a cleansing rinse. |

| I agree with CC's I would say skip the conditioner. Even in human hair if you use conditioner on hair that tends to be greasy it will only make it look worse! Yorkie have what is close to human hair. They have one coat....Just use shampoo for awhile that should help.

| Yorkies generate oils to keep themselves waterproof. you really shouldn't wash your dog so much because if you remove the essentail oils, they'll just keep building more up. And that gets itchy, etc. I've gotten a water-less bath spray and a brush. Spray a bit and brush him out every day (Archie likes it before bedtime so he just falls asleep while I'm brushing him). |

| I put a little baby powder on the top of his head. That seems to get the greasiest. I only bath Milo once every 10 days or so. Or more when he keeps falling in the pool ( I'm always out there with him)
