| Yorkies just talk a lot! Just finished reading the post about a person's little dog whinning after being spayed. I'm sure mine would do that. I swear -- Yorkies have more to say about everything than any other breed of dog I have ever know. Sometimes when I only pick my pup up, he whines. You'd think I was hurting him - and I'm not. (He just didn't want to be picked up.) He makes more noise playing with a toy than any child I've ever been around. He jumps around, barks, growls, whines, and makes all sorts of noises. If I do ever hurt him for a second (run into a little tangle combing his hair, etc.) - he makes me feel like I'm killing him. He has me apologizing to him all the time --usually for no good reason. He barks at the silliest things - he looks at me often and makes the cutest little noises - he has the sweetest little growl (and also another one that he thinks is very tough sounding). He also has a lot of other sounds that I can't even describe. They are just his noises. I just think Yorkies talk a lot. They certainly aren't dogs who sit back and have nothing to say ---are they? | LOL!! Mitzi is the exact same way. She has an adorable noise for everything. She has a cute bark, and a growl in training. I'm sure one day, she will answer me back. |

| Brutus talks a lot too! I love playing tug of war with him and he growls like give it up before I tear your arm off! He's such a good watch dog too! If he sees someone outside he puffs himself up and makes these grunting noises and growls then goes into barking mode! He cracks me up!

| OMG- Olivia is a little chatter box! She doesn't bark at much other than our cat, but she can get "talking" forever! We just say something "Grrr... roar, rar, rar..." and she'll kind of mimic us and talk back. We can get her going for a good couple of minutes of "conversation." |

| Jasmine is certainly the most vocal of my 3 dogs. If she is hungry she will get in front of you and bark same thing if she is out of water. When she wants one of the boys to play with her she will bring them a toy and bark and run a little way and then come back and bark and then run again. It is so cute. If one of the boys has a chew or a toy she wants she will bark and bark at them. |

| I just love dog talk! Dreama is very vocal Wosie is not a talker yet, she barks to communicate but we have been working on cutting that back. Dreama on the other hand is a growler/whiner, and does it because she knows she is communicating. When you put on your shoes, she goes nuts with bark/growl/whine because she knows she's going out. When you get close to the bed that she's on, she will grwwwwoooowwwwwllllllll grrrr grrrrr to pretend she is defending the bed and you can't sit down. It's all in play because she's joyous when you finally do sit down. When she's hungry she ggrrrrrrrssss at you whereever you are, runs to the door, runs back to you, gggrrrrrsss, runs to the door, etc until you finally get up and get her something to eat. She completely cracks me up! And you want to hear something ferocious?? Let Wosie try to take a toy Dreama has....WOW!! But it's still all in play, and Dreama will let Wosie have the toy rather than hurt her. Jasper used go Ah ro ro ro rooooo... and we called him "Talking Doggy". It was soooo cute!!

| I've got 2 talkers! Simon like to sass me (that's what I call it), he talks back all the time and always has to get the last word in. Hallie thinks if she barks long enough she can steal things or get something she wants! When I tell them "quiet" they will growl and bark only it's really low, it cracks me up! |

| It is amazing the noises that YORKIES make. Last night I swear Mac meowed. Dogs have different degrees of barking but Yorkies actually have a language all to themselves I think. Some of their sounds are so funny. Besides, the vocal talk they also have that body language they are all so very good at.
