| how to trim toe nails i'm attempting to trim bunjee's toe nails myself. should i cut perpendicular to the length of the nail? or at an angle? if at an angle, how should it be angled? pictures? |

| I just cut the nail tip. be carefull they can bleed , if you are going to cut their nails make sure you have Quick stop on hand. The center of the nail changes color and texture as you clip, Its very hard to see on Yorkies cause theirs are all black. they also have nail files that can be used to make the ends smooth.Good luck I hate doing this job. |

| okay... i did it. i trimmed his nails. all of them!!! not too much. just a sliver on each toe really. he was a little fidgety at the end, with the front paws but otherwise he did beautifully!!! i didn't have a nail file tho and some of his nails kinda splintered a little when i clipped it. and some just have sharp edges. can i use any nail file? or is there a special pet one that i should use? |
