| 2nd puppy question I am looking to get a 2nd puppy in the summer so I want to start doing some research now. My main concern is the size of the 2nd pup. As much as love my little guy.. he is very tiny. He is 3.5lbs. And trust me I am very careful with him but still always so nervous he is gonna get hurt (especially when daddy treats him like a pit...lol) What is the biggest my next one should be. If the next one is a little bigger will Diezel feel less dominant because of size or will he not even realize it? Any help would be great! |

| I think it would be wonderful to have a little buddy for your yorkie. I wouldn't worry about size very much. Most yorkies feel they are larger than a great dane 3 lbs is small but if she can take on your hubby's playing, it sounds like she can take care of herself. I would be more concerned getting an ethical breeder that will guarantee health for at least a year and breeds to the standard. Although it's sometimes hard to detect in a pup you might look to get somewhat the same personality...and yet opposites attract Good Luck and we are always her if you have other questions. Others might be able to give you more ideas.

| I wouldent worry about the size Lady is only 2lbs and Jess (my second yorkie) is over 7lbs and they get along fine Infact,Lady seems to be the alpha in this yorkie relationship! lol.Lady was a pound and a half when I got Jess and Jess was about 2lbs at 8 weeks old, they basicly ignored each other for the first 6 months! lol. Dont worry about your new babies size How ever big or small he may be,they will end up loving each other |

| I think it just matters on the dog... My little guy is under 3 pounds. I also have a 95 pound lab. They get along great. |

| I asked this question of my breeder the other day when we were checkin in on our little Morgan (1 week and 4 days old). My breeder said that typically the female is bigger than the male and this is probably what I could expect but it's not foolproof. We shall see. I really don't think that size matters here. Good luck in your search.

I Love Thor Donating Member | I am so excited for you. I think you should just make sure you find a healthy dog. And in terms of the size of your little dog you have now, don't you know they all think they are HUGE , so dominance probably wont be a problem! |

| Yorkies are all small dogs so I dont think the size difference will really matter.
