| max got his bile acid results :) It's been a while since I've been on here, but wanted to update everyone on Max. For those of you that don't remember me, my yorkie "max" was diagnosed with a liver shunt 8 months ago (he was 4 months old). He had surgery and is doing great now! We decided to get his bile acids tested this week to see if his liver is working better and go the results back today...and what good news we got! When he was first diagnosed his fasting was 74 (normal is <10) and 2 hours after eating was 323 (normal is <20). Now his fasting is 6 and 2 hour is 88! The fasting is in the normal range and the 2 hour is still a little elevated but so much better than before. Our vet is faxing the results to the surgeon to see what his recommendations are. Just wanted to share our happy news!!

| I'm so happy to hear all is going well! Thank goodness they can help dogs with liver shunts! Sounds like little Max will now be the healthy, happy pup he was meant to be!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I am so happy. Cali was just tested for Liver Shunt. Her bile acid was 0/90 the first time and 0/32 aweek later so they think her liver is ok. I am still worried.
