| Eleanor's leg... Hi yall...I'm kinda freaking out this morning. My baby is going to the vet to check on her leg. She just started walking about two weeks ago but she can't always support herself on one of her front legs properly. Sometimes she is okay and then her little leg will just kind of give out and she'll kinda walk on her elbow. My mom says she has never seen anything like it before. I'm going to attach a pic. Have any of you seen this or maybe know what's going on? I'm praying that it's just her little muscles are a little weak in that leg. Please keep us in your thoughts.

| I haven't seen that either. Was it this way when you brought her home or is it possible she injured it without your knowledge? I would absolutely get the vet to check it ASAP. Please keep us updated! BTW .... she is precious!! We will keep her in our prayers.

| She isn't with me yet. She is still with my mom and her mom in Alabama. No, that's the weird thing...it doesn't seem to hurt her at all from what my mom has said. She plays just like normal except for favoring that leg at times. Sometimes she doesn't even do that. My mom talked to the vet on the phone already. He said he wanted to look at it and do some x-rays. He says he has only seen it a couple of times, but that it has never been anything life or mobility threatening. He said she may need a brace or a cast, but he wants to run tests. The only thing we can figure out is that maybe her mom stepped on her if it's an injury. My mom doesn't work so she is home with them almost all the time. I just don't want her to hurt! But she doesn't yelp or cry or anything. It's breaking my heart that she might be in pain and she's so little... I hope we will know something definitive by the end of the day.

| Update on Eleanor's leg Hi guys! Sorry this is late getting back to you, but I wanted to give an update anyway. Eleanor's vet trip was great! Of all the things it could have been it turned out to be very minor. Our vet says that her ligaments and muscles are just weak in her leg and that she will grow out of it. He put a splint on her leg to encourage her to hold it properly and strengthen the muscles instead of letting it bend improperly. She has to wear the splint for 3 weeks. My youngest sister assures me that the splint isn't slowing her down in the slightest. LOL Keeping up with a ten year old is apparently no problem for Eleanor even with her new hardware. He said her condition was very rare. He's only seen it 3 times in the 15 years he's been practicing, but that it has never been a problem later in life. Thank you all so much for all your thoughts and prayers! It means so much to have so many kind people to talk to. Having a soundign board for all things yorkie big or small is the greatest!
