| Question about Frequency of Accidents For those of you whose pups are learning to do their business outside, how often do they have accidents in the house? Once a day? Once every few days? Once a week? Also, what age is your dog? Thanks! |

| Gracie is 6 months old and she is almost fully potty-trained. I would say she has maybe one accident a day but it varys. We will go a full week without any problems and then the following week she will act like she has never been outside to potty in her life lol. Average maybe 2 times a week she has accidents mostly with pottying never with pooping. |

| Well Hercules is 6 1/2 months. He was doing great with going to the bathroom outside. Probably only one accident every week. But last week we got another puppy and he's now having more accidents. Probably marking his territory and getting upset about the new puppy taking up some of our attention.

| Lady was a breeze to train,at 12 weeks old she was 100% potty trained with no accidents at all.But when she was 7 months old we got Jess and Lady decided that she no longer wanted to be a "good dog" She is now 16 months old and has never gone back to her wonderful potty habbits.UNless we take her to her pad,sit her on it and stand with her..she wont use the them at all.We have tried everything to get her to use the pads on her own again, like she used to..but nothing has worked so far. Jess was also a breeze to train..she is wonderful with her pads. She is now 11 months old.Yorkies can go back and forth with their training habbits. They can go months without an accident then suddenly theyre peeing/pooping all over the house |

| Luigi is 6 monthes old now and has been pretty much potty trained for 2 monthes now. In the past two monthes, he had only one accident!!!!!!! But I truly believe it was on purpose!!! It was on a Sat. night and my hubby had gone out with his friends. And we usually go to bed together at the same time. Well this was the 1st time it was just me! And Luigi kept looking at the bedroom door and Daddy was not coming in!!! My hubby had called me right then to let me know he was on his way home and Luigi looked at me and walked over to Ray's side of the bed and squatted!!!! He hit the comforter, both sheets and Daddy's pillow!!!! What a little sh#*!!!! I couldn't believe he did that. I was soooo mad!!! Then I was cleaning up and when Ray got home, Luigi usually greets us with kisses and stuff, well this time Luigi ignored Daddy when he got home!!!! As mad as I was, I couldn't help not laughing!!!! It was soo funny how Weeg would walk right around Ray!!!! But other than that, he has been so good about going outside!!! He is even at the point where he'll grab his leash and walk it over to me!!! Its soooo cute!!! Everytime he goes out , I still give him lots of praise when he comes inside!!! He loves the praise!!!! And a treat!!!! |

| Well, Ringo went 4 days and then had 1 pee accident. Then at times he will have an accident every other day. My next question is do your pups tell you when they need to go out? |

| I was kind of able to tell when he would walk in circles and sniff at the same time!!!!! I would say to him in a very happy way, "You gotta go peepee and poopoo, gotta go, gotta go?!!!! And run over to the door and keep saying, gotta go, gotta, Luigi gotta go peepee poopoo!!!! Such a GOOD Boy!!!! We're going outside to peepee, poopoo!!!!!!" And he would get excitd too!!!! I tried to make it a fun event ewven though it was only 10 degrees outside!!!! NOT FUN!!!! We would do that everytime he had to go outside!!! Even if he didn't seem like he had to go out, I would still take him out!!!! Its very repititious!!!!! But now he actually goes over to the door and just sit down!!! And wait for me to come over to take him out!!!! Sometimes if I am not paying attention, he'll pick up his leash in his mouth and drag it over to me!!!! Sometimes I do it on purpose!!!! Just to see if he brings it over to me!!!! In a way, I wish he would bark or something to let me know he has to go out!!! But he just sits there patiently and waits!!!! Its soooo sweet!!!! He is such a good boy!!!!!! Mandy & Luigi |

| When Hercules needs to go out he jumps up and down and scratches at the sliding glass door. He learned how to do that on his own. I was very proud. I also say things like "do you need to go out," "do you need to go to the bathroom" as I approach the door to let him out.

| puddles I have Yorkies from 4 months to 5 yrs..I am the last person to ask about housetraining. It seems like someone pees every hour or so..I admire people with 100% housetrained Yorkies, never meet one yet, but I have heard they exist. My Doxies never had an accident in their entire life's and would bark at a Yorkie when it squatted on the floor...then they would come to me and bark, just like Lassie...as you can imagine we had a lot of barking in our house.LOL |
