| Heard of this breeder? -SpoiledRottenYorkies http://www.spoiledrottenyorkies.com/ Please help! A friend of mine who knows nothing about dogs has left a deposit with this breeder. I would appreciate any input. Are there particular red flags here? She tells me she is only looking for a pet and is convinced that this breeder is great. I am trying to stear her away from them. Maybe someone can provide me with a breeder or contact in the tristate area (ny/nj/ct) to help me out. Is there someone in rescue in my area who can advise? I just need somewhere to start so I can help find a nice puppy for my friend, otherwise I am afraid she will buy one from the site above. -Janine |

| ok, so I looked over the site, and honestly I wonder what concerns you so, she seems to have a nice health guarantee, much better than the one I received, and is looking for good parents, she is not letting them go at six weeks, is just allowing the new parent to come get acquainted so what was your fear?

| I found the breeder advertising "super tiny teacup yorkies" on a classifieds site. Her guarantee seems to benefit her more than the buyer. Yes, she'll take her dogs back but she only guarantees 3 yrs. of health. |

| What's the average price of a pet quality puppy? What would you be willing to pay? |

Regarding to the 3 year guarantee, this is a very good guarantee. I just did a quick over view of her web site and I think it looks pretty good. She seems to take the sale of her Yorkie babies seriously and is determined to find the right owner for each puppy. This is outstanding!! Again, this was just a quick over view but I didn't find anything too bad. The "super tiny teacup Yorkie's" is not good, it's a sales pitch. But many many owners are "looking" for those tinies and a lot of breeders know that so "advertise" this. However, as I read more and more on this site, I do NOT see this breeder using the term "tea cup"...My eyes are tired so maybe I've missed it? I think her Yorkie's are cute as ever.

| I paid $600.00 for Gracie with no health guarantee, but to tell you honestly, the breeder that I got her from was awful. I wish now that I would have gotten a health guarantee. She let us take her at I think it was at 2 to 3 weeks old, way too early. But I was just happy to get Gracie out of there. Gracie's mom was already pregnant again when we picked her up. Unfortunatly, from what I understand, the breeder lost all of her dogs in Katrina. Also, we were not supost to get breeding rights but she forgot to mark that on the AKC papers. I had Gracie spayd anyway, she is too small to breed. When the breeder found out that Gracie stayed small she tried to take her back from me so that she could resell her at double the price. The breeder was just an awful, awful woman. Good luck to your friend. I looked over the website and it looks like this breeder really cares for her pups and it also looks like she loves them alot. I would buy from her, if that says anything. |

| 3 yrs. is good? I was always taught that serious genetic problems won't come out after only 3 yrs. Maybe its because I come from big dogs, but we demand a lifetime guarantee and full health testing of both parents. Maybe someone could fill me in on how it is with Yorkies. I would personally rather find a dog from a show breeder that is pet quality than buy one from a byber! Am I expecting too much? |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I like her health guarantee. 3 years is great. I got 48 hours for a vet check and now Cali most likely has Liver Shunt and the Breeder has no responsibility. She also doesn't make you give back the dog but refunds the purchase price.

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | I looked over her website and she seems like a wonderful breeder! 3 yrs. is an outstanding gaurentee. And, like Patti said, I appreciate that she doesn't make the owner give back the dog. Off topic: Patti, I didn't know Cali was sick! I'm so sorry, she's in my thoughts and prayers.

| i am curious to know how much she sells her puppies for... there were no prices on her website (did i miss it? ) Like the others i took a look at the website and thought it was excellent, i didnt see the term teacup, and she seems to really care about her dogs, she also gives the three year guarantee which is much more than some of the rest of us on here got. . . If she has good to average prices and doesnt sell them for an excessive amount i think she would be a good person to get a yorkie from (oh and i have heard of people having problems with liver shunt, luxating patella, and other genetic problems before the dogs first year... ) Oh, and i know this is a controversial issue: so let me just say it and people please dont make this a BIG thing... she doesnt breed females that are under 4 lbs Last edited by orinskye; 01-28-2006 at 06:10 PM. |

| I contacted this breeder to try and get one of her pups. I thought that since she was right outside of Manhattan it would be better than having a puppy shipped. Personally, I would have no hesitation about her. She seems very good. The only reason I was not able to get a pup from her is that she does not sell to homes with children. This isn't something I agree with but I do respect a breeder for making that choice and sticking with it. I think your friend should be ok! |
