| What Thing Of Value Has Your Baby Chewed Up Or Ruined? The other thread about the $10 got me to thinking. I wonder if I have the only "goat" that has chewed up some things that I loved or were of value. I usually put my purses on the doorknob of my closet. One day I came home and my purse was not hanging up there and I saw bits of leather around the house. Coco had chewed up my COACH purse One Friday I was going out of town and packed my clothes in my Louis Vuitton weekend bag put it on the floor and took a 1/2 hour nap before I left. When I woke up the handle on my bag was chewed up. These incidents left me almost in tears. LOL......Please tell me I am not the only one that has lost something of value. I now put EVERYTHING up out of her reach. |

| Okay, nothing as bad as the LV bag- I would have been in tears, too! Olivia had a taste for electrical cords at one point. (Thank God we didn't have a tragic accident on our hands!) She chewed the cord to our fan (unplugged), a heavy duty extention cord (unplugged), a cord to our surround sound, a laptop power cord (unplugged) ... oh my gosh- it sounds like I'm an unfit mother who never supervised her baby! (I swear- I'd turn my head for a second and she'd go straight for the cords!), she and her kitty brother ripped the fabric on the underside of our chair and ottoman and used to play up in them... that's all I can think of right now. |

| Luckily, Bailey had not destroyed anything. He was never really a chewer, only his toys, and chew thingees. Once he got ahold of a really good picture, when I was putting pictures in an album, he chewed on the corners, and ruined the picture by licking it to death. ( of course the picture was of HIM)

| Dublin like to eat my shoes! Not good or expensive ones, just favorite ones! And I don't keep them on the floor either! I used to put them on a small table by my bedroom door-its carpeted while the rest of house is hardwood floors. He easily jumped up and got one, took it into his sister's cage and chewed it up. So I started putting them up on the dresser. I came upstairs last night and he had somehow got the shoe off of the dresser and chewed the back up! I guess the only safe place is behind a closed closet door!

| The first night I had my new iPod, I woke up to Macey chewing on it! She didn't "ruin" it but made it a lot less pretty! I was not too happy about it, but she was so cute I couldn't be mad!

| OMG you guys are making me feel a little bit better. I thought I had the only dog that ruined things. Thank goodness she is not chewing on the cords anymore. She did destroy the DVD player cord and a lamp cord. Good thing I'm handy and went to home depot and was able to replace the cords. Oh its funny but he may not think so. I was dating this guy and he spent the night one night. He hung his shirt for work on the closet door. I happened to wake up at 3am to go to the bathroom and what do I see? Coco with his shirt on the floor chewing it to pieces. She ate two of the button and chewed a big hole in it. So I'm panicking thinking oh my goodness if my boyfriend wakes up and sees this he is going to have a fit because he will have no shirt to wear to work in the morning. So I start looking through my closet at 3am to find a shirt of mine that may have similar buttons to the ones coco ate. So I found a NICE Ann Taylor shirt of mine and ripped two buttons off, sewed them on his shirt then sewed the hole up that she had chewed. You could only see the damage she did if you looked closely. So in the morning when he woke up I said "umm coco did something to something of yours but PLEASE don't get mad at her". LOL.......That didn't work out too well. He was angry the whole morning but thanks to my handy work he was still able to wear the shirt to work. LOL....The next day I bought him two shirts to replace the one she damaged |
