Advice from breeders or those with 2 week old pups. I was wondering if someone could give me some advice.I have just phoned a couple who have yorkie pups born on the 10th of january and today at 3:30pm (2 hours time) I have to go and see them as I am looking for a male.I wouldent be bringing him home until after a month from now though. My question is,does anyone have any pictures of 2 week old pups that I could look at so that I know what they SHOULD look like at this age.My reason is that both of my yorkies have very thin, silky NON growing coats and I dont want that to happen this time around,I want to do things right and know what the coat should look like at this age in the case of a normal, yorkie coat..do I make sense? lol. I will be able to see th eparents, where they live etc,so I will also go by what they look like too,but I am just curious of what their coats should look like at this young age.Should it be quite long already? Wooly? Thick? I have no idea. Thank you!

pups Sweetie, all you can tell at 2 weeks is, male or female and how many legs they have.. Seriously, you must deal with a reputable breeder who has a line of Yorkies with correct coats. The parents must be correct and then you have the best chance of accquiring a correct puppy. You must look at the pedigree and if possible, contact as many breeders who appear on it to see their Yorkies. Best wishes

Hhmm..This couple arent breeders but its their second litter with their own yorkies. They will have papers etc but they arent profesionals or anything like that.I just want to make sure that I dont get a long snouted, short haired yorkie at this point lol.Thats what happened to me with Jess.I will upload pictures of the pups later if the owners let me take some, maybe seeing them you can see at least if the snout is going to be long etc?

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Going to see the parents is a good thing but you won't be able to tell anything about the pups. They are still too young to tell anything.

As Pat already said , the only thing that you will be able to determined is male or female .
