| Groomer checklist I'm trying to make a checklist to give the groomer and I'm not sure I have everything. Did I miss anything? Shave top 2/3 of ears and trim hair around the ears remove hair inside ears trim around butt and belly trim feet and paw pads, cut nails LEAVE topknot trim hair around eyes (I'm not sure about this?) I was doing all this myself but he won't let me anymore so it's time to make an appointment for the groomer. I was going to get him a puppy cut but my husband thinks I'll be sorry. Maybe for the summer. Also do they trim the beard when they're groomed? I know I'm sounding a little anal about this but getting his haircut makes me nervous!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | That's what's on my list too - I would be VERY Specific on the eyes and tell them NOT to cut - just trim the hair so he can SEE....and good luck ! |

| i was just going to ask about this too. should the anal glands be expressed when at the groomer's? should the nails be filed? how short is a "puppy cut" vs. a "regular yorkie cut"? |

| They should express the anal glands, trim the claws, trim around the 2 private parts, get hair in the ears and trim the paws. I would be very SPECIFIC about what you want done with the topknot, the face, the body and the legs! BE SPECIFIC! TELL THEM WHAT YOU WANT.
