| Has anyone ever....? Have any of you ever gotten ringworm from your furbabies? I have several red, round splotches on my skin, and a co worker suggested ringworm from my puppy. Does anyone have any suggestions on treatments for me and my puppy? I would appreciate all the help I can get!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I got it from a guinea pig i got my dtr when she was younger. i had to go to the dermatologist and he gave me ointment. I think now a days you can get an over the counter. I also had to take the guinea pig every week to the exotic animal vet for sulfa? baths. He was a peruvian long hair all white and he would come back all yellow from the bath.

| I've gotten ring worm from my persian cats, I guess they're known to get it. Anyway, I figured people in the vets office would get it often coming in contact with all those critters, so I called the vet's office and they said they just dab rubbing alcohol on it and that worked for me

Donating YT 14K Club Member | It's easy to treat for yourself. Just get some foot antifungal creme and it'll clear up in a few days. Now, if your yorkie has it, it's more difficult to treat. Ringworm is airborn. Not only will your baby have to take pills, but also shampoo every couple of days with medicated shampoo you'll get from the vet. You'll have to wipe down your walls with bleach...basically, bleach EVERYTHING! It's a BIG hassle when a furbaby gets ringworm.

| My daughter had a severe case of ringworm -- we tried the perscription medications but nothing worked till we put tea tree oil undiluted onto the effected area. |

| Yep!!! I had a dalmation with it and got it several times. It was a real joy!! I used over the counter meds and that took care of it.

| If you have ringworm can you give it to your Yorkie? How do you know if your pup has ringworm?
