| Pulling out Teeth..... Yeah, Here's what's going on: Tigger is almost eight months old now and his two top adult canines have come in beside his baby teeth. We went to the vet to see how to approach this and to see if they were ever going to fall out on their own. He said that most dogs lose all their baby teeth by six months if there are any left after that they need to be extracted. Any advice? He goes in tomorrow morning at 7:30. I'm nervous and don't know what to expect. Do I limit his food and water intake? Will he be drowsy when he gets home? Is there a recovery time? Thanks so much for all your help.

| Tiger was neutered and had teeth extracted at the same time so it's hard to gage the effects of the neuter or of the teeth. He could not have anything after midnight the night before though. He could also eat his hard kibble once he came home that night. I thought "Wow!" but he acted fine.

| teeth I am concerned the vet/vet tech did not give you instructions for fasting before this surgery. I cannot imagine removing them without anesthestia..so he should not have any food or water after 10/12PM..I hope they give you after care instructions. Mine bounce back very fast, ready to eat within hours. Best wishes |

It cost us 115.00 (with the help of our health plan for him through Banfeild) The origianal estimate was between 107.00-137.00. It cost us a little more then 107 because the doctor had some cleansing gel to put on his missing teeth. He did a wonderful Job, and Tigger did beautifully.
