| Does anyone else feel this way? Hi all! My husband was just giving my pups some treats (snausages) And my thought when I was watching them wiggling their tails and all excited was .....eww, I feel so bad that my babies have to eat "dog food". I always feel like they are too good for it and i feel bad for them......like they are such people to me, that I just feel bad. Does anyone else feel this way? I mean I KNOW that I HAVE to give them dog food because in reality they are "dogs", haha , but I dont think of them that way. I know I sound wacky huh! Well, just wondering if anyone else felt this way. Have a good day all!

| Getting serious about pup nutrition... I was so serious about nutrition and my pup that I went miles to find a special food for her! In the process, I also found my new yorkie, Dreama! So see?? The hunt for good dog nutrition can lead to more than a healthy happy pup!! I am sure your pups love the treats your hubby was feeding them, but there are better more nutritious treats out there. You have to do some research and read the labels, but it's do-able. There are also many folks on this site that DO feed their pets people food only, but in blends and amounts that are perfectly nutritious for the dog. The concern is to make sure the pup is getting the ultimate in nutrients with a balanced diet... JUST like people should! You are right to feel that way, and you if you feel strongly about it, you can change what you feed. But make sure you do your research and do it right! Have fun!!

| Yes, Jaspersmom, the hunt for good nutrition CAN lead to more than a healthy, happy pup. It can lead to two healthy, happy pups!!!! He he he LOL |

| I think maybe the connotation we have about dog food doesn't apply to the dog food of today and I wish I ate as healthfully as my furbabies do...lol. You said they were waggin their little tails for the treats so THEY think it is GOOD and that's all that counts rignt?? |

| Yeah. But....In the long run they are dogs and I know its sad because I do feel that they deserve better and all we can feed them is dog food which seems so yucky and disgustomundo.

| Actually I don't feel that way because they love it so much! I sometimes wish I could/would eat the same healthy thing consistently . Trust me, they are much better off not having the options that we do. |

| Prior to July 4th, I felt exactly like you do so I gave all my "kids" people food also that we were eating. I lost my little girl, Precious at 6 1/2 yrs old on July 4th to pancreatitus all of a sudden, and my Sassi 5 yr old was hospitilized with it for 3 days. It was all caused from people food and I didn't know any better then! Nearly killed me and now they get only the best of DOG foods and DOG treats!!! |

| I know what you mean too......just because they can't have it doesn't mean the can't smell it. That would be hard. Thanks for the visual on the nice piece of meat |

| my dog eats better than i do. organic treats, all natural ingredients, no by-products, balanced nutrients... somehow i don't think those qualities are present in the mickey d value meal i picked up this morning. |
