Donating YT 14K Club Member | Rebel's first attempt at doggie training... training other dogs, that is! I was outside taking a break and of course, had the puppies running around inside the house. Then, I noticed that Rebel kept jumping in and out the doggie door and I'm wondering if he has ants in his pants or something.... Then, he's standing on the outside pawing at the doggie door. I look a little closer and the puppies were on the other side. He was motioning them to come outside through the door! He wanted to play! Anyway, maybe I'll get out my camera and see if he'll recreate it!

| Just goes to prove the longer the puppies stay with Mom/Dad/1st Family the more the training will be done by the adults. Can't wait to see the picture...how cute

You are so right! Our big dogs (adult, I should say) go outside to potty. And the puppies use pee pads. But since they are now big enough to go outside for a little while, I go too and watch over them. They watch the adults going potty and now they are all doing it too. The pee pads don't need to be changed nearly as often. (Except when they get a notion to play with them and tear them up! - which does happen now and then!) And it is so cute when the little 1-l/2# or so males hike their leg the first time! We had one that I think hiked his leg at only 7 or 8 weeks of age. And, no, I don't think he was "marking his territory" -- I think he was just mimicking his adult male buddies. Last edited by artierae; 01-24-2006 at 04:58 PM. | |
