| Groomer I am so disappointed with what the groomer has done to Cash's coat! It's uneven everywhere, he has knicks.. she shaved his belly, shaved the top of his nose... It looks like my daughter cut his hair! I asked her why he looked like that, she says "because that's how his coat is, he's a puppy, it's a puppy cut"... Then she's putting his harness on him and she says "You should get a collar for him, he'll never learn how to walk with this thing" I said no, I'm not getting him a collar, it could damage his trachea, she says oh, is that a breeder thing ... OMG! It doesn't look the same to me! = ( SO anyone in MICHIGAN, do not go to THE CRANBERRY DOG in HOLLAND, MI. Please ADDED: These pictures do the cut justice... maybe i'll take a video of it...

| I am so sorry this happened to you. If it was a puppy coat I am surprised they cut that much anyway. Usually groomers dont cut that much if at all on a puppy coat. Dont give up on groomers though there are good ones out there. I wasnt happy with my first grooming experience but I went somewhere else and I found a groomer that cuts their hair exactly how I ask it to be done. I think its always best to leave instructions on how you want them cut also. It will all grow back before you know it.

| Aww well he still looks cute! You can't take that away from him But that really sucks she did such a bad job...and on top of that, so ignorant about harness vs. collar?! What the heck? You'd think that's common knowledge for small dogs or anyone who deals with small dogs on a regular basis.

| I'm sorry you are unhappy BUT Keep your chin up he will grow back out..and find a groomer who you can be happy with. I have a 5 month old who I'm getting ready to take in to get shave down because of puppy coat matting.. The other pup I have..I had to shave down too and today she has a much better coat... |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | OMGosh she shaved his ears BALD ! The good thing is it WILL GROW BACK and you just went to a groomer who knows nothing about a yorkie cut - she really DID mess up didn't she ? POOR baby - I've never seen one nick on my girls when I used to take them and that would make me PISSED if I ever saw that....I hope he's ok !! Did you actually pay for that hatchet job ? I don't think I would have....My girls had some bad haircuts and I always paid...but if I saw their ears looking like that & NICKS on their bodies - I'd have picked them up and walked out. but then - you never see the really bad stuff till AFTER you get home and can really look.....Sorry - didn't mean to make you feel WORSE ...You just learned a big lesson on groomers - don't trust what they tell you - I would go out and stop in on a few groomers - cold call on them - look at the puppies they're working on and make decisions based on that - a phone call just doesn't give you a sense of the establishment. |

| Oh wow Sorry to hear about your poor baby. On the good side it will grow back in time. Just never go to that groomer again. Was this your first time there? Or have you used this groomer before? When I go to one for the first time I stay there and make sure they do what I want them to. |

YT Addict | Poor baby, that is a butcher job if i ever saw one. One thing, always make sure the groomer is not allowed to use the clipper's on the belly, scissor cut only. That way you can be assured of no razor burns or nicks on the tummy or nipples of little girls

| So sorry about the haircut... maybe you could have someone just shave the back of him to make it even.... I think the face/head looks good. My Bitsy recently had all her puppy hair cut off. See picture... I like it... she looks alot neater than my other yorkies.

| First time there! I was also thinking about that (shaving his coat to make it even)... Poor guy! Yes, he's still cute and it'll grow back.. Thankfully! I hope my experiene w/the vet today goes better than the groomer yesterday! I'm gonna be even more on top of this! I asked her if I could stay and watch and she seemed surprised to hear me ask, I shoulda grabbed him and left right then & there, but she said that it would take an hr just to dry his coat... and I couldn't stay that long because Carlei needed her 2nd flu shot... Yes, I pd, but I didn't see the complete damage till I was home, I thought my hubby would go back.. he had no words...

| It will take a few trial & error visits to different groomers to find one that you really like. We tried four groomers before we settled on one for Sophie...DoggieStyles in SoHo (NYC). We love the puppy cut they give her, and Sophie's happy there too. |

| Gosh, Thanks for the info. I live in Spring Lake, MI. Thats just about 25 minutes north of your groomer. I am waiting to get my yorkie in a couple of weeks. I will definately never bring her there. |
