| Stop Eating Poop!! Okay, I need some YorkieTalk adivce. We've tried everything before resulting to giving her drugs. I've heard of Deter, Dis-taste, and For-bid. Does anyone have any experience with any of these products? Which is most effective? Which is best for a small Yorkie? Any other suggestions? |

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | I have used Deter and still do for Magic...for us it works sometimes and sometimes does not!! She will stop for a while and then out of the blue start eating it again...we have not figured out why. But our next move is to try Missing Link, as we have heard that sometimes they do this because they are missing some important nutrient!! I would also talk to your vet, our vet told us their is a medicine he gives that stops it immediately....

| bunjee is still doing this as well. i used deter but it doesn't seem to be working. he'll actually poo on his pad, then pick up his poo and take it elsewhere to eat. ewwww. i've heard meat tenderizer or msg would work as well. i'm trying that next. |

| I've had pretty good luck with Aldolfs meat tenderizier, just make sure it's the one with msg. Just sprinkle a little over their food. Isn't it gross. Seems they always wanna give kisses after their little snack. |

| I've never had to try it...thank God...but I have seen several post on here that feeding them pineapple juice will stop it. Don't know, just what I've seen....good luck. |

| I've tried Deter and Pineapple, but neither worked. BUT...Baby is getting better b/c I haven't seen her eat poop in a while even though I haven't given her any of the above in a while.

| low salt beef oxo also works , as does pumpkin , msg... you can also try papya enzymes fromt the health food store. If you have more than 1 dog , make sure that one is not hogging all the food and the poo eater is hungry . Also , give them hard to chew treats or kibble to help add variety... Good luck.. nothing quite like a kiss from a poo-eater |

| We sell S.E.P. (which stands for Stop Eating Poop) and have had nothing but RAVES about it. It's also all-natural.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | My pom ate her poop when I got her. I used Forbid which helped but she just grew out of it, She did it for a couple of months and has never done it again. I thought maybe it was because she was from a pet store and had been there a few weeks before my husband got her?

| We have used Forbid and it didnt work for us. I think it depends on the dog themself. Bridget wont eat her own - just everyone elses!! ICK

| My Zoe had this problem for a while when she was 3 months old. I thought she had out grown it. Hadn't see her do it in a long time. Until today. She's 5 months old, and she pooped outside this afternoon, I was just going to praise and reward her, and she turned around and started eating her poo, so I yelled at her instead. Seems we just can't win. Now she probably thinks I yelled at her for pooing outside!! She's due at the vet later this week for more puppy shots. I'll ask his opinion on what to do. She also wants to give kisses with poo breath. Yuck!!!!!! |

| Well , I am just grateful that I am not a dog and inclined to eat poop.... the other thing is to go out with them and stand guard.... in other words , scoop while it is warm...as we say here "fesh and everloving from (insert name) 's oven", as the old easy bake oven jingle went!! Aren't we glad this is all we have to worry about at this moment in life!! LOL |
