| doesn't like the xpen Oliver does not like when I put him in his exercise pen. It is set up with his bed, blankets toys, food, water and pee pads. He just whines and crys when he is in there, do I just leave him for a while? He is fine when we are playing or when I let him sleep in my lap. He doesn't really like the toys I bought him either, he just wants to play with me. Sorry, I am just so new to this and want to do the best I can with him! Should I worry? |

| One of mine really hated the xpen too. I would take her out and put her back in. I only used the xpen while they were very small then I trained them to go outside.

| He seems to have calmed down, he's not whining and standing up on the side anymore. But he looks soooo sad just laying in his bed... or maybe I'm just a pushover I never thought I'd be so worried about every move my dog made... guess thats the power of yorkie love! |

| Put him in there with a T-paper roll. All the toys Princess has, and for some reason she love's them!!! There must be something about cardboard.

| Simon hated his for awhile too. I started to put a tshirt I had slept in there with him and also I spent some time in there with him playing so he would see that it was a fun area. That way when I would leave for work and he would be in there he seemed to calm down a little. |

| Thanks for all the tips! He is doing much better now, I guess he just needed to get used to it. I leave the door open most of the time and he runs in and out, and when I need to shut him in he is much more content! I have to laugh though... he does like the tp tubes better than any of his toys!!! He is also using his pads! Yeah Oliver!!! |

| It was a gradual process for me, too. At first, she didnt seem like she liked it. She adjusted well though. She loves it. We dont let her roam the house just yet, but it gives her much more room than her crate. She has a ball now!! We put her toys in there and she's set. There are times she will whine to get out. Most of the time, it's because she has to go to the bathroom. I love the Xpen! |
