| Yorkie Nudity - LOL It looks like most of us have at least one outfit for our furkids. Do most of you dress them up all of the time, or just for fun? Sadie has quite a few clothes, but just wears a down vest to go for walks as it gets rather cold here. If it is too cold, she stays inside. I did dress her up for Xmas with a new dress, bow and cape, and she was a great hit. I also just got her a sun visor type hat, which will help keep the sun out of her eyes this summer, providing she will wear it. My brother got her a new feather collar, (which she will wear just for pics as I am afraid she will choke on it), and a tiara. I need to take some more pictures. Kate

| Macey always wore clothing once it started to get cold out, but I didn't dress her in the summer. She would have gotten too hot for that!

| I personally don't like to put clothing on Ruby. I believe I totally hide the beauty of her coat in doing so. I respect other members that enjoy it though and their babies look darling. |

| I find that when I do put clothes on her, if I use the cape type clothes it does not mat her hair. But, if I put sweaters on her, by the time I get her legs in the arm holes, and out, she is a matted mess. Also, with the cape, I don't have to put anything over her head.

| I put clothes on Murphy sometimes. When we go visiting, some of my friends say, "Be sure he wears a cute outfit." How about that! Anyway I'm lucky. His hair doesn't matt -- even from wearing clothes. And, he doesn't see to mind wearing clothes. My problem is that he seems to be between sizes. He has outgrown "extra small" and swims in "small." I'm afraid, I'll have to buy the bigger and alter them to fit him. But then.........he's still growning, so maybe I just need to wait. Carol Jean |

| Both of my dogs are in full coat but do wear clothes if we go out in the winter. Mignon will freeze and Rio although he has MUCH more body fat will shiver if it is chilly and he has been out for a long time. I think they enjoy wearing their clothes, especially their sweaters and I do try to buy and make only things that I think will be comfortable. I think if you live anyplace that is cold you almost have to dress these little guys, they really do get chilly and my 2 like being outside and going for walks. In the summer I do not dress them much although they do have a few tank tops and sun dresses |

| My Pup is A Natural 99 percent of the time, no clothes, no collar. We call it Stealth Mode. She hates clothes and will just pout if wearing them and I can't stand to see that sad face. |

| I have TONS of girly clothes that I got for Schatzie but she really doesn't wear any of them. In fact I'm probably going to sell them. Ransom has one sweater and doesn't wear it because it covers his potty area. And well....this wont work, LOL. I don't like personally what the clothes do to their coats. I try to only dress them for pictures or when we camp and need a sweater for warmth etc.

| So funny you made this thread. yesterday I pulled up to my mom's house and she and my stepdad make a HUGE fuss over Stewie when he walks in. My mom starts yelling, "where are his clothes? His naked? I'm calling the police for neglect!". LOL. I like dressing him up, but I think it's everyone else who truly benefits from it. It always puts smiles on faces I've never incured a problem with Stewie's coat being matted from clothes

| Simon prefers to be nude all the time, he isn't a big fan of clothing! I just make him wear tshirts and coats to keep him warm in the winter. Now Hallie gets mad if she isn't dressed! She loves to wear clothes all the time I keep their hair short so I never have a problem with matting either. |

| I put coats on my yorkies when we walk but it is Canada so it is cold, brrrrrrrrr. I put the odd sweater on them if it is chilly like when we go camping,ect... I have this one shirt Daisy wears when I have coffee with my neighbors it says "Favorite Child". They think I'm crazy when it comes to my yorkies so it is very fitting and they all get a kick out of it. It was given to Daisy from Kim (txshopper73) in the last gift exchange and it is so cute, thanks again Kim! |
