| Welcome to YT Yorkies have big attitudes lol. What are you experiencing that you call attitude, some things can be corrected with training. Can you be a bit more specific. I am almost sure a member may be able to offer suggestion, advise, or just their own experience.

| Dixie shows great displeasure when she doesn't get her way. Lots of separation anxiety. If my husband or myself leave or go outside she gets very upset. Otherwise very affectionate. Loves kids and big dogs. She is only 2 1/2 lbs.. |

I got my adopted boy when he was 2 1/2 years old, we are a team 4 years now. I am a bit stricter with him, example, he has breakfast at 6AM, not 5:50, not 5:55 am. I am an early riser, sometime up at 4AM, my guy thinks it's time to eat and will whine and carry on. I tell him "it's not time, you have to wait" it took him a long time to learn he has to wait. He still whines, but when I tell him he has to wait he'll jump on the love seat and nap for 10 minutes then starts again. Consistency in training is a must, no giving in, if you give in just one time your baby will know if she keeps it up she will get her own way. It is very easy to be "owned' buy your yorkie lol. As for anxiety, none of my babies had that but we have many members that have this issue with their babies, I am sure they will pop by and offer advise, suggestions and their own personal experience.

| No behavioral issues ever just go away after a surgery. Any behaviours you don't like will need training. See, Yorkies are super smart. If you don't train them, they will train you! Look into clicker training, get some healthy pup treats and do some daily obedience training with her at home. She needs to know that you and your family can show leadership so that she can take orders from you (and not the other way around).

OP needs advise on anxiety, and training technics for not being demanding.
