| PERFECT toy....I THINK.... Yesterday, I bought a big toy for Chelsea at Walgreens. It WAS a big hedgehog head, with big thick rope. Needless to say "my little goat" enjoyed it for about an hour. First the rope was shredded, and I mean, untied shreaded into a rag looking rope, (poor ropey, atleast its death was quick, no suffering) I cut it off, because we are not suppose to let Yorkies chew them, due to safety. Then she carried the hedgehog head, cute, big snout, with a pointy nose, safety eyes, well, needless to say, that didnt last for long. Soon, the area where the rope was attached was chewed open, and stuffing started being removed. I did sew it up, but in 20 minutes we were back to stuffing on the floor. SIIIIIIGHHHHING!......... Its hopeless I can NOT find a toy she wont destroy, but would entertain her...UNTIL...this AM. As I made my morning coffee, I emptied the last of the Coffeemate powder into my dispenser. Then the thought occurred to me, what if I put her dog food pellets in the empty container, remove the paper label, tighten the lid....HMMMMMMM! Right now, she is having a ball with it, its too big for her to bite it, too wide, the dog food, keeps me alerted what she is doing, due to the noise. She cant catch it, because it slides on the floor, wood and carpet. I MIGHT have the perfect toy here. Well, for now...lets see how long THIS lasts. What other safe homemade toys has anyone made? I would love new ideas. Hugs, Chelsea'sMom PS...she is TOO funny, since she cant get it with her mouth, she is batting it with her paw, across the room, and barking at it....YESSSSSSSS! |
