| Yorkie Heaven Or Yorkie Cell? I am so discussed after watching the kennel section if this site. I don't care how much money was spent to create and paint, on the tile etc ... the poor dogs are confined like breeding birds. This isn't even acceptable in my opinion for birds. Those cages stacked on each other just remind me of a mall petshop. I would never buy from someone keeping dogs like this not matter how clean and pretty the facility is. That is now life for any dog. Even the dogs at the pound get more space what a shame. This really pissed the sh@#$% out of me. JUST GROSS! This is the site by the way www.yorkieheaven.com What do you think am I right. |

| I just went to the website you just mentioned and I agree with you. There is no room for them to move. The room is nice but yorkies aren't caring what is out of there pen. It makes me sick to see yorkies or any animal for that matter to be confined like that for so long. I understand breeding but if you can't treat them like family then why have so many. You still can breed with a smaller group. Sometimes I guess it's just all about the money.

| Well, I am opposed to animals in cages but these cages are bigger than the crates that a lot of people put their babies in while they are gone during the day. She said the room was built for her dogs to stay in while she is at work so I would guess they are only in there when she is not home. Isn't this what a lot of people do? I would bet if we asked the breeders on here to post pictures of there kennel facilities and where the dogs stay when they are not at home or when a female in heat has to be confined, etc., I bet they would look similar to this. Just guessing......could be wrong... |

Dogs dont care about having fluffy dog beds, nice chew toys, or a pretty room... they are COMPANION animals, they want to be with YOU! Anyway, Im sure with all those dogs (looks like 16 kennels).. theres no way it can be a home type environment. I dont agree with larger scale breeding practices like this. If this lady has another job on top of breeding, theres no way she can dedicate enough time to all those doggies. That just makes me think shes in it for the money. I know theres someone who can check how many dogs she has registered living there.....?

Are you opposed to crate training because it is pretty common on here? I do not crate train mine but I used a playpen when they were little and I use an xpen now. | |
