| Dog thinks she's a cat and a deer So my little catdog thinks she's a deer now. Originally she thought she was a cat, but now she also believes she's a deer-- either that or a rabbit. She has this habit of eating grass -- I think it's a compulsive thing because she poops fine and normal . She also likes playing in the tall grasses (well tall for her) the grass in the new house got to be 3ft tall in just a week and a half-- we've been too busy to cut it and I got a retractable leash to let her "roam" as the fence is complete crap (the house is on a slope and part of the yard is slope which makes mowing hard as well). So she also thinks she's a mountain goat/sheep? Because she traverses the terrain quite easily. But it's not that surprising as you may know she is an acrobat- acromutt? She jumps instead of walking over the grass and she seems to enjoy it. She looks like a galloping deer or a rabbit or a mountain goat. She already sees the neighbor behind us and stakes her claim. Unfortunately it's a fixer-upper kind of home (which in its own right would be good if it didnt mean that it had a broken fence) so the corner of the fence wasn't done properly so there's a gaping hole. The fence doesn't account for the slope apparently. It's big enough sasha could easily crawl out. The area near the front yard also has a big gap where sasha could also escape- so this mean maggie can easily get out of either one. Until it's fix I am relying on this 16foot long retractable leash. We're thinking of buying a stake out thing so it could be like 30ft long and hard enough that she won't destroy it-- which btw she destroyed the old leash the naughty thing. She tried to chew off the retractable one-- so hopefully I'll be getting a wire one covered in nylon or polyester... Basically something indestructible but it wont harm her. She's very very stubborn with learning somethings like "leave it" and even then it's not an automatic thing. I end up having to pull her back while telling her to leave it, she stops-- but then goes back to trying to mess with whatever it is. (stubborn streak). She also seems to try to eat little pebbles, sticks, etc in the ground(the yard has an area with more bare ground). The only area in the yard I trust her with is the grassy area which has none of that. I'd rather her eat grass accidentally than eat a stone accidentally. If she did manage to swallow a stone (like a pebble the size of a dime or less) can she pass it? Anywho, she also frolics in the front yard. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hah...she's a little character, and her personality sounds adorable . If she does ever swallow a small stone, she will probably pass it. Larger ones really can be a problem though.

| She is quite a scamp. The stone eating thing bugs me as i cant go on a simple walk without her trying to eat stuff she shouldnt every couple of paces. Thinking of getting her a cone, the cone o shame. |

| I don't think I would use a cone for that but just keep working on the command drop it and no.
