| anyone got yorkie's with high jumping abilities? I am amaze at these little ones. The things they have be doing are simplely amazing. I have an excerise pen from midwest that was doing an admirable job at keep Chowie and Lowie safe from themself that is until now. Chowie is now able to jump over a 36 x 24 playpen and he is not even 6 month yet. jeez. Now we have to either put barb wires around the top or get a taller excerise pen. The funny thing is there is not enough running room to hop over so he is either... 1) a really talented high jumper or 2) somehow figure a way to climb over the fence. |

| i'm just afraid that he might hurt himself scaling that fence and falling down. thank god...Lowie doesn't know how to jump yet. Still timid that girl but the boy...always all over the place. we should have an official yorkie olympics. skills tested. High Jumping Fastest in the 100/200/300 etc. |

| I have a jumper too; when he was a few wks old he could scale the tallest baby gate we could find and now can jump on any kitchen counter . The counters, top of fridge, shelves, and bookcases are not safe! People always ask why everything is so bare and plain in our home, but gotta keep it Ranger proof. I'll have to get a video of him jumping on the counter, he does it with such grace it's sickening!!

| Biddy's 1/2 Jack Russell so she can jump pretty high. I'd say about 4 1/2 feet. BUT - she can only jump vertically - not forward. So she doesn't jump over anything. It's so weird. When we want to keep her out of a room we put a little 1 1/2 foot piece of cardboard in the doorway and she'll jump and jump up and down, but she has no idea that she can jump forward over it. It's pretty funny actually!

| Joey is an olympic jumper also. The little beast (said affectionately) can now jump high enough to get things off the kitchen counters. Gee Whiz! I knew I had to worry about counter-surfing when I had Huskies, but counter-surfer YORKIES?!?!?

| I love those pictures!! Air Chanel is RIGHT!! That girl is such a joy!!! Here's a flying Wosie pic that I have posted a couple times before. She has the potential to be a jumper, but breaking her back leg in November slowed her down considerably. She hasn't yet reached her full Olympic potential.

What an action shot ! I used to really worry about Chanel too - The only time I let her jump as high as she was in my pictures is when I'm taking pics - when I just play with her I try to keep her a little closer to the ground - and it's NOT EASY ....she's a sturdy girl or I wouldn't even let her do this.... and Glad....when it's nice out - she does stay wet ! For a while in the summer she got to run and play everyday....Actually - she was out there a few weeks ago it was so nice in houston and talk about a HAPPY girl ! | |
