| How much food to feed? Hey, I was wondering since feeding varies on the level of activity, weight/size... I was wondering how much do you guys feed your pooches and what weight/size are they? I know they all vary in size a little so that's why I ask.. |

| Deuce is 7 years old. Weights 5.6 lbs. He is most active in the afternoon. Has to play ball for a few hours. Has a sensitive digestive system. Eats twice a day. 1.5 oz. wet food in the AM. Eats Hills Prescription ID. 1.3 oz wet mixed with about a 1/3 cup of Royal Canin Dry - Gastrointestinal. I use his dry food as treats during the day. He likes the crunch.

| I have pickers so I free feed. I'm not a huge fan of this website but it does have a feeding calculator Dog Food Calculator | Dog Food Advisor

Is peanut butter okay for them? We used to give it to our dog stuffed inside one of those kong balls for when we'd leave for some appointment (1-3hours time) to keep her busy. I heard some friends say that it's good to give dogs chicken livers or w/e every now and then because its packed with vitamins and stuff. Do you guys ever give that-- and if so do you give it as is or do you boil it? What dry food brands do you guys like? We currently use wellness simple for our other dog-- she has sensitive stomach so it works well for her.

| They will only eat a few bites here are there. They never eat much at one time.

Freeze dried? Doesn't that take the nutrients out of it? As for pb, you mean the sugar-free crap? As for royal canin and hills I wasn't sure if I heard bad things about them.. I don't recall, I was the one who recommended wellness to my mother because her dog has sensitive stomach so she eats wellness simple. She says her bag is about 70 dollars. (it's a rather big bag-- biggest they carry I believe). She takes the kibble and stores it in a container. It lasts her a few months I think(not sure dont really pay attention since she's the one that feeds her). If you free feed, do you fill up their food container or?

So maybe avoid peanut butter period. Unless it specifically says no xylitol or whatever. but for that I could just find something else. Too bad there isn't a cholesterol free thing that would be an equivalent of pb. If you did use pb, would you use the extra chunky one? I figure that might take time to eat.

Yep, PB okay. Mine love it too. I don't do the livers - that's totally up to you. You can give it either raw or cooked. Raw would give you the most nutritional benefit. Just be warned: livers can cause some dogs some looser stools. I feed raw (have for 8-ish years) - right now feeding Better In The Raw - where you just add your own raw meat. As far as good kibbles, these: Natures Logic Venison, Wellness Core (Simple is great too!), Solid Gold Wee Bits, Natures Variety Raw Boost, Natural Balance LIDs.... But remember to always save/hold back some novel proteins in case of allergies later in life!!!

| Recalls could mean the dog would die because of their carelessness and I am pretty sure you cant sue the company for their carelessness either... |
