| New Baby Question Hello all! My name is Holly, and I am a proud new Yorkie mama. I was just wondering - our little guy was born December 20, 2016, and I've noticed he has a lot of gold running through the black of his coat. Is this normal for a pup of this age? We didn't get any paperwork with him, and began wondering if he was in fact 100% Yorkie. His father was a chocolate and his mom was silver. His vet check went well (a whopping one 1lb and 10 oz.!),and he's turning into a feisty little guy. Either way, we love him to pieces. Thanks in advance and it's nice to meet you all! |

| Welcome to YT, that is one gorgeous lil little baby you have. The gold you are seeing "may" be because the father is a chocolate. Looking at his pic he looks 100% pure yorkie, he is just beautiful and I see a lot of mischief in those lil eyes lol. Have fun with this baby, they grow so fast.

| Lol, every pup I ever bought was always unplanned, so I never had a name ready. My last pup it took 6 weeks before I found the perfect name for her, she answered to nooooooooo before she got a name lol. Don't worry, you'll come up with a perfect name for that precious lil baby.

| Hehe.. Scottie was named after the girl lawyer from the TV show, Suits. And Casey was a boy name that I liked for a boy puppy that started with the letter "C", but then we ended up with a girl. So now we have Casie. We chose to have both their names start with the same initials as me and my fiance.

| Oh my, that first photo. "Mr. Demille, I'm ready for my close up." He is going to be a little looker. I swear I believe they know they are pretty! Love all the pics, but the first one with the head tilt is all I need to see. ADORABLE! |

| I completely agree! They totally know they're adorable and that they can be little terrors if they follow it up with those innocent eyes! |

| oh my that baby soo cute! hehe, makes me think of Black Gold. But yea probably cause of the Choco-Silver mixing. My girl is registered as a black/gold but she also has some silver on her as she has an "ancestor" that was a silver/gold and some blue/golds. But they were mostly black/golds.

I see the brownish/gold color you are talking about, probably from the choc parent, which will probably lighten to a gold as he ages while his roots stay dark. My Tibbe's back/flank hair is dark blue at the roots but he turns light gray at the tips, across his back/flank as his tips lighten even more in summer. Love to see lots more pictures of this memorable little boy! ♥♥♥

| Hi again, I think I was able to upload my Niko's pics! (We finally decided on a name last night and we love it). Doesn't he look just like the original thread person's baby? Amazing! |
