| I am sure this is a dumb question but... Are belly bands only for boy dogs like diapers for girls?? |

| Okay, I don't think that's a dumb question at all because for awhile there, when I went on-line to research safe harnesses for Piper, I kept confusing buddy belts (oh geez) and belly bands. But gosh darn, I'd never heard of either one of those things!! I'm not sure why I felt need to share that...?! Oh well, needless to say I've got nothing in response to your question and I think that's probably a good thing! |

| I have never had to use a belly band for my boy, but I have seen them here on YT. I had always had females, seeing how belly bands fit a male dog, I can't see how they would fit a female.

| yes they are, they for males dogs. They are a strip that goes around the body and would not work for a female dog, some people put maxi pads in them. Alot people sew them out of washable materials then you put the maxi pads in them and when the dog wets you can just throw them away. There is a long time member her, but the name is escaping me now that makes them. I am sure someone will post it.

| As I always told my kids "there are no dumb questions, only dumb people who are afraid to ask!". Ask away, that is what this forum is for. I cannot tell you how much I have learned here. |

| We were given a belly band when we adopted our boy. The woman said some males mark when in a new house with dogs and others will mount another dog. The bellly ban stops both she said. It is sort of crescent snapped with a place for haft a pad and Velcro to close it. Can't say if it works because our boy neither marked or mounted. The rescue felt they were great for dogs who needed them. Gew |
